presentation of the 1920 Street Glide FLHX 2026
Are America’s roads ready? Whether long or vast, wide or remote, stretching from one end of the state to the other or across the country, they’re in for a surprise with the arrival of the new Street Glide. A must-have bagger and one of the most popular models in the Harley-Davidson lineup, it’s now embracing the 21st century with a striking transformation.
Its face is the best illustration of this. The famous Batwing has changed dramatically. Introduced in 2023 on the exclusive CVO Street Glide, it is now beginning to win over a wider audience. It brings a dynamic energy and cutting-edge technology to a Harley Tourer. Its wind tunnel-tested design significantly reduces (by 60%) turbulence on the helmet, while its glowing lights spark both curiosity and awe in the night. A UFO vibe is guaranteed.
As always at MoC0, the best is at the heart of the bike. The Street Glide is powered by the 117 version of the Milwaukee Eight. A massive twin-cylinder engine—almost the largest in the lineup—which not so long ago graced the CVO models. With 1,923 cc, it fears neither the bike’s weight nor a lack of power. Its 175 Nm allows it to accelerate with impressive vigor whenever and however you want. This M8 also delivers 107 horsepower at 5,020 rpm, features water-cooled cylinder heads, and makes long trips a breeze.
The Street Glide replaces two older models: the ST and the Special. It borrows the engine from the former (adding a few more horsepower) and replaces the hot-rod-style saddlebags of the latter with more classic components. A significant amount of work has reduced the weight by 8 kilograms. Technically, its chassis features a steel frame, a large 49 mm fork, shock absorbers adjustable only for preload, and a belt final drive. A tried-and-true formula that rarely changes, unlike the onboard electronics.
By unveiling its CVO Road Glide and CVO Street Glide in 2023, Harley has unleashed a flood of technology on its Tourers. This is to offer solutions in line with the times and to counter Indian, which is also seriously upgrading its models. The Street Glide thus gains the brand-new Skyline infotainment system, featuring a massive 312 mm color TFT screen—even larger than the displays on BMW’s flagship models (such as the K 1600 GTL or R 18 Transcontinental). The dashboard consolidates all information, including the gauges; it is customizable, offers three display themes, and supports a wide range of features: 200-watt audio, GPS navigation, radio, playlists via USB, SD card, or smartphone, hands-free calling, intercom, voice recognition, Bluetooth, and riding modes.

Yes, that’s right—Grand American Touring bikes now come with multiple “riding modes.” Four riding modes are available on the Street Glide (Road / Sport / Rain / Custom) and adjust power output, engine braking, cornering ABS, and angle-sensitive traction control. The Street Glide also features tire pressure monitoring and hill start assist.
With all these improvements, both cosmetic and technical, the 117ci Street Glide enters a new era. CVO has boldly paved the way for the entire Touring lineup to offer a more exhilarating riding experience. And even with all that, the Street Glide is still instantly recognizable—except that your eyes will be wide with wonder.

Three generations of Batwing. While the Rushmore project (center) subtly redesigned the original fairing (left), the latest version has taken a much bolder approach, even if it means shocking purists.
The different riding modes of the Harley-Davidson 117 Street Glide:
- Road Mode: Designed for everyday use, "Road" mode offers balanced performance. This mode provides a less aggressive throttle response and less engine power in the mid-range than "Sport" mode, with a higher level of C-ABS and C-TCS intervention.
- Sport Mode: Sport mode maximizes the rider’s connection to the motorcycle. It allows the rider to experience the bike’s full performance potential in a direct and precise manner, with full power and the fastest throttle response. C-TCS is set to its lowest intervention level, and engine braking is increased.
- Rain Mode: Throttle response and power output are programmed to significantly limit acceleration, engine braking is reduced, and the highest levels of C-ABS and C-TCS intervention are selected.
- Custom Modes: To create a custom mode, the rider uses the touchscreen to select their preferred combination of engine torque delivery characteristics, engine braking, throttle response, and C-TCS and C-ABS intervention levels within specific ranges.

The sensation of lightness is amazing. I feel like the center of gravity is lower than my 2022 Road King 107! The bad thing for me is the dashboard with all those buttons. I'm not used to them. And all those buttons on the com800odos! It looks like a fighter jet.
The other bad point was felt by my passenger: the sissy-bar backrest is uncomfortable. She's used to the snug Harley top case.
It's still a very good bike, but I'm keeping my RK .
Happy riding. Rating : 4/5 Respond to Tchatch_68
