He growls, he swears, he gets angry!!! The exhausts bark, the Low RIder passes. Anger invades and stamps its way through your fingers.
The Low Rider S doesn't look any meaner than before. Well, yes, OK, its air filter takes up a little more space, the handlebars are a little narrower, the two exhausts are now one, the bronze rims have disappeared, the rear indicators have been moved closer to the headlight and the speedo is mounted higher up on the bridge clamp. A fine evolution, but nothing to get excited about. And yet, the rock becomes hard in the bowels.

Patibular but almost

Watts, more watts, more strength in the buffalo heart charge. Don't let the number 117 fool you. While the displacement of the big twin M8 hasn't changed, Harley has released enough parts to take it to the next level. With new cylinder heads, an improved intake, reworked cooling, a more efficient exhaust system, a Heavy Breather intake for better breathing, a shift in the red zone at 5,900 rpm (+300 rpm) and, above all, a SE8-511 camshaft stolen from block 121, the engine goes into "High Output" version to spit fire.

11% more power! Horsepower increases by 9 to 114 at 5,020 rpm. Torque is up by 5 Nm - or 173 units, i.e. 17.6 mkg - to rip off as much rubber as arms. But this maximum rendering dose will only be reached at 4,000 rpm. Sporty, the Milwaukee Eight 117 H.O.?!?

Characteristic in any case. And in 3 moods. The 2025 Softail models have all received a good infusion of technology. Starting with the driving modes:

• road" flattens the torque curve and gives normal throttle response
• rain" reduces torque and softens throttle response
• hO Sport" increases mid-range torque, boosts acceleration and provides more responsive engine braking.

Modes also have a specific action on the new steering assistants. You no longer need to look to options for traction control. It now comes as standard, alongside the inertial unit, cornering ABS and residual torque management - all of which are angle-sensitive.
There was already cruise control; the MoCo adds tire pressure monitoring, a USB-C socket, new switches and a revamped instrument panel.

The Low Rider S has also revised its suspension for greater rigor and comfort. The brake lever becomes adjustable, which is almost out of place on a machine so expressive in its causticity.

One of the most virulent Softail

The Softail is now in its 3.1 generation, with confirmation of its exceptional character: a huge engine, even more virulent than that of the manufacturer's other custom bikes. It's thunder in the bowels and rebellion on the road.

You should be able to uproot a tree with this block. Thus powered, the Low Rider S offers the best power-to-weight ratio of any Milwaukee Eight-equipped model. All around, the main components of the chassis are identical to those of theex-Low Rider 114. The Softail frame is combined with a 43 mm inverted fork, 19" and 16" rims, 300 mm brake discs at the front / 1 292 mm disc at the rear, and a shock absorber hidden under the seat.

The 117 Low Rider S is not alone in its acid-trip. An ST version has been added to the catalog, in "Club" style, with a vintage fork head and a pair of suitcases. The travel version, as it were.
As dark as ever, this power cruiser isn't about manners or lace. Let's grab the Drag Bar handlebars and make the Scorcher tires suffer under the Big Twin's onslaught. We wouldn't be surprised to see a little steel drool belch from its jaws.
