This Challenger aims to rise above the rest of its lineup and offer its finest features to a select few. Following the “Limited,” “Dark Horse,” and“Elite”versions, Indian has decided to add another level of distinction to certain models in its lineup with the“Signature Series”. These models are available in very limited quantities and were created to take the level of craftsmanship up a notch...

...and to celebrate the brand’s 125th anniversary. However, Indian already offers the special 125th Anniversary Edition series for that purpose (Roadmaster / Scout Bobber / Challenger / Chief Vintage). More guests and more celebrations can’t hurt, even if it means losing some of the sense of exclusivity. But… Let’s move on.

A commanding presence above all

The main added value of a “Signature Series” is its paint job. Indian applies multiple layers to achieve greater contrast and depth, as well as color shifts depending on the light. The Challenger features an “Abyss Metallic” base complemented by “Machined Silver” and “Red Alert” accents. The result is worthy of a custom shop.

The “Signature” Challenger takes this opportunity to boost the audio system’s power. The standard model features 100 watts; here, the PowerBand Audio system cranks it up to 400 watts. As for the engine, Indian has opted for the 112 version of the PowerPlus, with 126 chevaux of power and, most notably, over 18 mkg of torque reached at just 3,600 tr/mn. Such power captivates the senses as this bagger commands respect.

Power, presence, an exuberant look, and a hefty dose of features define this machine’s Signature model: remote-lockable saddlebags, an electric windscreen, keyless ignition, 4 speakers, tire pressure monitoring, a 7-inch color TFT screen with GPS, Bluetooth, and Apple CarPlay, cornering ABS, traction control, 3 riding modes, residual torque management, cruise control, a radar system with blind-spot warning and rear collision warning, electronic brake linking, a 43-mm inverted fork, and 4-piston radial Brembo brake calipers… No wonder the bike weighs nearly 400 kg and costs over $40,000.

Indian is limiting the Challenger not only in terms of quantity but also by region. The “Signature Series” will be available only in the United States and Canada.
