presentation of the 800 Meguro K3 2021
If the W 800, the W 650 and, going back even further, the original W1 give you a feeling of temporal electrification, the machine that follows will get your heart racing. A brand rises from the fractures of the past with this MEGURO K3.
Don ' t look for the 88 mph just yet. This revival is driven by Kawasaki, which pays homage to its past. This bike is a W800 decorated in a celebratory style. It's a throwback to Japan in the '30s, when Meguro entered the motorcycle industry with a 500, and Kawasaki quickly became close to its compatriot, eventually absorbing it completely in 1963.
Let 's go back a little further to understand why this Kawa-Meguro is called K3.
In the '60s, the brand developed a motorcycle based on the British BSA A7. It was called the K1, and after a series of modifications became the K2. The name stopped there, however, because once it passed into the hands of Kawasaki, the name was changed to W1. This was the inspiration for the W 650, until the W 800 took up the torch. The circle is complete. The logical next step in the story is a K3.
THAT'S FINE . But we still don't know much about this Meguro. Except that the main thing is a W800, with its 48-horsepower parallel twin, its retro look, its bevel gearing and its unconditional old-English look.
It's all about the finish. The K3 features a special color scheme and the new self-healing paint found on certain Kawasaki premium models.
The emblem on the tank is Meguro's first logo. It will be hand-painted by craftsmen.
The speedometer and airbox covers feature commemorative red lettering.

Alas, this patriotic parabolic will remain Japanese from start to finish, as it is reserved for the local market.
Meguro and Kawasaki merge once again with this K3. A moment from the past conditioned by the future of a memory. All symbolized by the almost century-old badge on the fuel tank. The small manufacturer was founded in 1937. Subsequently, the brand logo evolved from a double winged rhombus to a mini labyrinth - doesn't that remind you of something? This is the Ridermark found on compressed H2 models (and H2R - Z H2 - H2 SX), representing the entire Kawasaki conglomerate. Motorcycles, boats, construction equipment, railways, steel, aerospace... even submarines at one time.
With its origins in Shozo Kawasaki, a young merchant who started shipping at the age of 17 in 1854.

Its plastic is magnificent, but will the engine be up to the level of a v7 85o 65 hp, a 9oo street twin 65 hp or a Ducati scrambler? let's not even talk about a 9oo xsr
even against the Royal Enfield, I don't think this kawa is a match for the Royal Enfield .... let's not even talk about the price
For me, this kawa is 2ooo euros too expensive Rating : 3/5 Respond to Exess
