presentation of the 1000 TUONO FIGHTER 2005
this new 1000 Tuono Fighter is in fact a semi-new model. Aprilia had the good sense to create the Tuono R in a limited series in order to test its clientele. Having given birth to a demonic and sublime machine, acclaimed by the press and the public alike, the Noale-based firm is now presenting a model for the general public. The machine will no longer be produced in limited numbers, so much the better for us; it does, however, lose some of the nobility of the R, without compromising its efficiency. The price drops below €12,000, and guess why?
the Öhlins suspension elements are replaced by a Showa fork and a Sachs shock absorber. The carbon of the covers is replaced by plastic, the aluminum rims are no longer forged but molded, and the Brembo brakes, with one pad per piston, are replaced by classic Brembo golds (which nonetheless hold their own). it's 10 kg heavier on the scales than its cousin, but that doesn't change much. The soul of the Tuono is the best of the RSV - its engine and chassis. The bracelets have been transformed into a bridge-mounted handlebar that radically alters the riding position. The Fighter's microchip differs slightly in order to offer a more exploitable torque range. The 60° twin produces 126 hp instead of the R's 130. With the Tuono, Aprilia brings sport within everyone's reach; well, almost, as the price isn't very "republican". Less demanding than a hypersport, yet almost as efficient, the Tuono Fighter is a genuine invitation to pleasure and more.
