presentation of the Française ! 2026
There are two things in France that are absolute and ingrained in our daily lives. The first is that there are a number of things we're not good at (politics, the state of our roads, spelling, industry, etc.).
The second, on the contrary, is that our country excels in other areas, to the envy of the rest of the world: we have a highly renowned gastronomy, an incredible linguistic richness, haute couture, the Rafale fighter jet, 81 Nobel prizes, and it was a Frenchman who invented the motorcycle; and above all, there is Midual. This small French manufacturer is giving new meaning to prestige with this exceptional model: FRANCAISE!
A daughter of the motherland
A name that resonates like a burst of native pride. This motorcycle is the epitome of patriotism, with the colors of France on its sides, its design, and almost its entire construction. To design it, Midual started with the very exclusive Quintessence and derived a very high-end café racer.
Like its predecessor, this special series shines brightly, even without lights. It's not the shine of chrome; in fact, the motorcycle is entirely polished. A result that requires several hundred hours of work. La Française! stands out with a slightly different headlight, small aerodynamic spoilers to which the turn signals are attached, a redesigned headlight, a small windshield, and magnificent handlebar bracelets.
The result is a more sporty cockpit, where gloves are as mandatory as they are essential—almost more to keep it clean than to protect your hands. At eye level, the top of the Öhlins fork ensures the best, the speedometer invites you to focus on the essentials, the triple clamp is a sign of luxury... and pay special but casual attention to the clutch cable and brake hose: these are the only "wires" you will see; Midual manages to hide all the others.

The French motorcycle! It is further identified by its sky blue leather upholstery, velvet leather knee grips bearing the French flag, and blue inlay work that also encompasses the incredible dashboard with its multiple dials. A work of art!
A chassis and engine that are unique in the world
And it rides. Miduals are true sculptures, but they are also made for riding. Rides for happy (and wealthy) people. With the only flat twin engine in the world positioned in the direction of travel. With a displacement of 1036 cc, this engine develops around 100 horsepower. More than enough for its intended use and almost irrelevant, as it is not designed for absolute performance but for elegance and audacity.
As with the other Midual models, the frame is a monocoque aluminum structure that also serves as bodywork and fuel tank. It weighs 24 kg once completed, after an unusual gestation period. The aluminum is cast in a huge 1.7-ton sand mold. The raw piece is then heavily worked to achieve a result that is unique in the entire production run.
The French Midual has no driving modes, traction control, smartphone sharing, or ABS. It is a motorcycle that has gone beyond considerations of fashion or use to achieve technical perfection. A motorcycle only for the (very) wealthy? Money is not enough; passion must come first. But you still need a large bank account to acquire one of the five planned models—or to buy a Ferrari Amalfi for the same budget.
