Motorcycle specifications MV-Agusta1000 Brutale RR 2025 More is better!

presentation of the 1000 Brutale RR 2025
The 2023 model year happily refreshes the innards of the 1000 Brutale. 23 updates allow for increased efficiency of the Varese fire pump. The engine's vibrations are halved with a counter-rotating shaft running at twice the crank speed. The electronics are updated to better manage torque delivery, traction control, Launch Control, and cruise control (with a negative-travel throttle). A revised seat completes the package.
The 1000 Brutale first captured the imagination with its stunning ORO version. Now it's time for a (slightly) more affordable version, without sacrificing the madness. A machine of superlatives since its birth, its contemporary iteration since its birth in 2020 is the ultimate roadster in motorcycle production. The slap in the face it gave us last year probably wasn't enough, as MV is already offering improvements!
The 2021 model offers a few chassis improvements, a redesigned exhaust and a new IMU inertial platform, while retaining its 208 hp and over 300 km/h top speed.
Chassis: aiming for comfort with performance
Radical, compact and extremely light, with a dry weight of just 186 kg, the chassis (CrMo tubular steel frame) of the MV Agusta Brutale 1000 RR commands respect in the hypernaked segment. Thanks to use of the bike since it first appeared, and no doubt with feedback from a few customers and/or journalists, MV Agusta is proposing an update to the chassis settings to provide a little more "everyday" comfort.
While this bike is almost like a collector's item on display, fortunately some of them are being ridden, even if for the average rider it's all too rare, as opportunities to come across the beast don't arise every day.
The new setting of the Ohlins electronic suspension (Nix fork and TTX shock absorber) improves load transfer control and shock absorption on poorly paved surfaces, which should make the new Brutale 1000 RR 2021 more efficient on the road. Ultralight forged wheels emphasize its handling, while the Brembo braking system complete with radial master cylinder and Stylema calipers is simply state-of-the-art.
Engine, packed to the rafters
An MV Agusta exclusive not only in the segment, but in today's motorcycling panorama as a whole, the four-cylinder engine with radial valves and dual injection continues to undergo development, and its components are further improved to reduce internal friction.
This mill develops a whopping 208 hp at 13,000 rpm and delivers 116.5 Nm of torque (11.9 mkg) at 11,500 rpm.
A high-performance engine that's particularly sophisticated in terms of materials. The titanium connecting rods, for example, are unique in the roadster segment. Titanium is also used for the valves (both intake and exhaust), an exclusive technical choice that ensures not only greater power, but also high engine speeds worthy of a true superbike. Timing is updated with the introduction of new camshafts that adopt a new phasing to fill the torque curve at mid/low revs.
The use of a DLC (Diamond Like Carbon) coating for the valve tappets reduces friction and improves reliability. The addition of a new primary drive gear reduces friction between the gears, while the final drive has been reinforced to improve reliability, particularly during sessions when the owner activates Launch Control.
The EAS 3.0 electronic shifter, now in its third generation, features a new sensor for more precise gear changes and more comfortable insertion.
The four-outlet exhaust system, an inimitable MV Agusta Brutale trademark, features a revised main manifold. The aim? To emphasize the Brutale's unmistakable sound, while fully complying with Euro 5 regulations (engine approved for an average fuel consumption of 6.8L/100 km).
More comprehensive electronics
The electronics package on the new Brutale 1000 RR continues to reach new heights. The new IMU inertial platform evaluates the motorcycle's position in real time, providing highly accurate data to the ECU for rapid management of every control.
Thanks to this new platform, the FLC traction and wheelie controls are able to ensure rider safety while remaining "performance-oriented", offering the maximum possible acceleration in complete safety. More precisely, FLC does not limit wheelie, but controls it. The ABS features a new Continental MK100 module with a cornering assist function to ensure ultimate braking control, even when the crew is leaning.
Traction control can be set to 8 levels (+ totally disconnectable), and there are also 4 levels of engine torque settings.
The full 5.5-inch TFT instrumentation, which communicates with the MV Ride app, allows users to customize every aspect of the bike directly from their smartphone, while also offering more "traditional" functions such as route recording and sharing. Thanks to its mirror function, the dashboard can be used as a navigator with detailed instructions. Each function can be quickly controlled via the joystick on the left-hand backlit keypad. A standard cruise control will help you keep a cool head on long motorway straights... The TPMS sensor for tire pressure monitoring is now available as an option. Which is a bit stingy on a bike of this calibre and price!
