presentation of the Superveloce 1000 Ago 2025
MV-Agusta masters an art like no other manufacturer: first, to create a superb motorcycle model, then to produce a sublime version of it.
Such is the case with the 1000 Superveloce, which appears in a special AGO series. Almost identical to the Oro, it's a culmination of beauty, bestiality and power - combined with real pieces of Agostini history. You want to set your wallet on fire!?! Now's the time to find out more.
The king lives above MV-Agusta
Meccanica Verghera continues to capitalize on and recycle its sporting past and its muse Giacomo. Since the F4 1000 Ago in 2006 (a 750 was planned but never produced), the Varese firm has also honored its fetish driver with an F3 800 Ago and an 800 SuperVeloce Ago. The 1000 Superveloce is a paroxysm of luxury and personal gratification. Everything about this machine is enviable, and it shows it off like a sultry stripper.
Its design is eroticism, where carbon mingles with vertigo. In addition to its bodywork and fins, the 1000 SV boasts no fewer than 41 carbon-fiber components, either braided or forged. The titanium exhaust pipes were designed for it by Akrapovic. The beauty knows how to stand tall thanks to its semi-active Öhlins suspension, Brembo Stylema brake calipers, Pirelli Diablo Supercorsa SP V4 tires (Velcro for the road) and special spoked wheels: these differ from those on the Oro and are based on the 800's design.
Tributes to the King are many and symbolic. Firstly, the distinctive feature of (almost) all Ago replicas: the big 1 on a yellow background, evocative of his domination of the competition. Then there's his nickname inscribed on the rear shell and on the crotch of the tank. The leather and black Alcantara saddle is embroidered with Agostini's name and features the arrow-shaped stripes found on his racing suit. The leather belt running around the tank is adorned with a gold plaque featuring 15 stars, as many world titles to his credit. Next to it, Giacomo himself signed each tank.

The refinement goes further than on other special series from the Varese firm. This one has an 18-carat gold plate engraved with its progressive serial number on the fork crown. The ultimate in kitsch, the ignition key contains a piece from one of the trophies won by Giacomo Agostini during his career. This trophy was chosen by Giacomo Agostini himself from his personal collection.
Each Superveloce 1000 Ago comes with an exclusive kit, including a certificate of authenticity with serial number, a top-of-the-range motorcycle cover, and a set of accessories consisting of CNC-machined levers, carbon fiber footrests and heel guards, a set of swingarm height adjustment plates and a luxurious passenger seat in leather and Alcantara.
An extreme Superveloce
In his entire racing career, King Ago has never ridden a machine with the power of Varese's 1000 4-cylinder. The scary thing is that this block unleashes 208 hp at 13,000 rpm, accompanied by 11.9 mkg of torque. Fortunately, the stable is managed by a hefty slice of electronics: traction control, wheeling control, angle-sensitive ABS, Launch Control, 4 riding modes, anti-stoppie, Up&Down shifter, cruise control... and to add a little cream to the cake, a 5.5-inch color TFT screen, data acquisition, and Mobisat GPS geolocation (first year free).
The MV-Agusta 1000 Superveloce Ago doesn't arrive on its own. By asking nicely, the fan can don the outfit and helmet that go with it. After taking his measurements, Dainese can create a Custom Works Demone GP 3X suit in kangaroo leather, with a design inspired by Agostini's gear and customizable with the owner's name. AGV completes the package with a top-of-the-range Pista GP RR racing helmet, in a tricolour livery reminiscent of the helmet of... we've written it so many times already.
Two beautiful gifts, exclusively reserved for purchasers of this machine.

Legend first?
So, are we buying a motorcycle, a symbol, a work of art or an object of speculation? When it comes to prestigious productions, we're not sure. What's certain is that the Agostini / MV-Agusta cocktail continues to make people dream.
By the way, why is this series limited to 83 units? Because the protagonist turned 83 on June 16, 2025, the day of the presentation of this fascinating motorcycle.
All for Ago. An unmissable and eternal rider, whose prestige has long since faded from view. But let's not forget the basics about MV-Agusta's standard-bearer. Born in Brescia, Giacomo began his sporting career on a Moto-Morini 175 Settebello in 1961. He became a rider for MV in 1965, with whom he won 13 world championship titles (in 500 and 350), before switching to Yamaha in 1974, where he won a further 2 titles. During his career, Agostini won 15 world titles, 123 GP victories, 10 Tourist Trophies, 1 Daytona 200, scored 1,577 points, collected 18 national titles and 311 victories in Italian competitions.
