Superb , needless to say. Already highly desirable in its standard or Oro versions, the MV-Agusta Superveloce 800 goes beyond the stage of desire in this ^75th anniversary edition.

Rarely has a motorcycle worn the colors of Italy so well. While we're no longer accustomed to seeing this flag on Ducati's Tricolore series, it carries an equally symbolic and delectable cachet on the MV. A fitting compliment, as it will be very difficult to disparage this machine.

This Superveloce stands out from the rest in a few small details... and one big one: its production and marketing. To celebrate the brand's 75th anniversary, only 75 units of this limited series will be produced, with a 75-hour reservation period starting Saturday evening, or Sunday morning, at midnight (15/11/2020 - 00:00).

The details? Delicate and not insignificant. It features gold rims with a set of black spokes to set it off even further. A plaque engraved with the serial number appears on the upper fork crown. It features the red alcantara seat and matching seat cover of the Oro version. The special kit that accompanies it includes a certificate of authenticity, a battery charger, a special cover and an Arrow triple-outlet silencer with dedicated microchip. Throats that suit it much better than the F3 800 triple.

from which it derives. The 148-hp 3-cylinder engine and all its electronics are on board, and power rises to 153 hp with the kit's exhaust system. To support the rider, the Ottocento features an Up&Down shifter, 4 riding modes including a customizable one, 8-level traction control and anti-stoppie. The Superveloce gets the 1000 Brutale's much more modern 5-inch TFT instrument panel, with Bluetooth and GPS. The trellis frame anchored on aluminum plates remains, as do the inverted fork and all-round adjustable rear shock, Brembo brakes and overall efficiency. Dry weight is 173 kg, which drops to 165 kg with the kit installed.

Prices start at 25,000 euros (depending on country). Reservations will close automatically once all 75 units have been reserved. When you see how quickly special series go out the door, you'd think the clock won't be ticking for long. See you on the new MV-Agusta website?
Update 11/15/2020 - The Varese manufacturer didn't need the 75 hours to sell this anniversary edition. The entire production run was sold out in a matter of seconds! Never seen before.
