presentation of the 800 Turismo Veloce RC SCS 2021
the Turismo Veloce has changed, even if it's hardly noticeable. It's hard to make out the new, more protective bubble, which is higher (75 mm) and wider (38 mm). It's also impossible to see the engine changes. Even though the manufacturer has revised the gear ratios, reduced friction, put more pressure in the injectors, changed the intake trumpets and reworked the exhaust system. Even the decoration seems unchanged, although some details have been subtly revised.
the current MV-Agusta Reparto Corse livery stands in stark contrast to previous generations. Farewell to the freshness of Italy, the suavity of aromatic herbs and the aplomb of a passionate diva frolicking in the paddocks. Now, the RC version comes in the colors of a volcano, with the fiery red peat and ashes expelled during its eruption. It's just as full-bodied as its predecessor, but with a different kind of sportiness.
more recently, the TV 800 RC has enhanced its dynamic appeal with a very special clutch. Note the right-hand crankcase, remarkably highlighted. Because it's fitted with the latest SCS - Smart Clutch System- capable of automatically managing clutch release and engagement phases - forget the left-hand lever, and let the SCS handle everything. Additional riding comfort for a motorcycle with a bloody temperament. In 2021, a number of small modifications will make the system more flexible.
When MV-Agusta chose to put the stamp of its racing department, Reparto Corse, on a production bike, it was originally on the F4 1000 RC, a demonic sports bike dedicated to Superbike championship homologation. That gives you an idea of the level. For some time now, the deco and RC appellation have been investing in a less exclusive machine, allowing you to get from home to the track via all sorts of roads and passes. This is the role of the 800 Turismo Veloce RC limited series.

in addition to its styling, based on that of the machines entered in the WSSBK and WSP, the Turismo Veloce RC is equipped with special forged aluminum wheels, a partial carbon mudguard, a crankcase guard, a small numbered plate on the handlebars, and a black coating for the footpegs and muffler cover. Alas, no SC Project exhaust, as seen on the Brutale or F3 of the RC series.
The Turismo Veloce is one of the few trail-GTs to be powered by an 800 cm3 engine. The norm in this segment is 1200. But not just any mill. The Italian 3-cylinder is a blend of spirit and character. Its Euro5 compliance has been accompanied by lower fuel consumption and improved mid-range filling. The three-cylinder offers up to 12% more torque between 3,000 and 6,000 rpm. In addition to 110 hp and 8.6 mkg of torque, the Turismo Veloce comes with 4 maps, 8-level traction control, up&down shifter (updated in version 3.0), anti-wheeling and ABS as standard. Thanks to the introduction of an inertial unit, the latter is now active when cornering.
the chassis has retained its prerogatives: a structure combining a steel trellis frame with aluminum plates, large Brembo brakes with 4-piston radial calipers on 320 mm discs, and Sachs suspension that adapts damping in real time. Work on the middle of the frame has made it possible to install the seat lower. The height drops by 20 mm, while the seat is more padded and comfortable. A real bonus.

The dashboard is no exception. This is the very latest version, fitted on virtually all models. A 5.5-inch TFT screen, packed with information and as fashionably connected as ever. In addition to communicating with the smartphone, the on-board electronics offer a whole host of possibilities, including the MV Ride app and a GPS module for navigation and location tracking. On the market square or even further away, because it's been stolen without your knowledge.
Alongside the F4 1000 RC, F3 675 / 800 RC, Brutale RC and Dragster RC, the Reparto Corse family has become a must-have. MV-Agusta intends to offer every category of its machines in this special livery. But this kind of delicacy comes at a double price: firstly, there won't be enough to go around, as only 150 will be produced; and secondly, the price is considerably higher.
