presentation of the S1-R 60° Anniversario 2018
The Paton! The terror of the Tourist Trophy... In its class, the Lightweight, this Italian sports car holds its own against the competition. This year, its driver was none other than Michael Dunlop, who claimed victory with an average speed of 194 km/h. Big customers, pure performance and iconic names - competition works well for the little firm from Milan.
after a successful run on the Isle of Man, the S1-R now pays tribute to Paton's 60th anniversary. Its fairing features the same deco as the one that won the TT. A new SC Project exhaust system will make the Kawasaki-sourced twin-cylinder rumble, and at the same time resolve the sometimes-limiting ground clearance concerns. The 60° Anniversario comes with a numbered plate and a certificate of authenticity.
everything else is identical, which means one hell of a beautiful machine equipped with quality peripherals: Öhlins suspension, all-Brembo brakes, forged aluminum OZ rims, hand-crafted tubular steel frame and aluminum tank, Rizoma and Valtermoto parts. With the added bonus of weighing just 158 kilos. Imagine what the ER-6 twin (reworked for 80 hp) can do with such a light machine.
This special edition adds some 5,000 euros to the price tag, making the final bill considerably higher than that of a Ducati Panigale V4 S. A dubious comparison, since the Paton offers a very different riding sensation and a taste for competition of a different dimension - perhaps more modest, but no less exhilarating.
