Motorcycle specifications SuzukiGSX-S1000GT + 2025 Suitcases in the breeze

Fast touring has long since moved on from the Sport-GTs of the heyday. GSX-Fs, ZZRs, VFRs, Sprint STs/GTs and Futuras and ST4s are but memories. The trail-GTs have taken over, and not gently.
Suzuki is not content with this situation, and has come up with the GSX-S1000GT to maintain its presence in this niche of road-going TGVs. And since tourism rhymes with luggage, this rushed tourer gets the + suffix, synonymous with gear more suited to spending the weekend away from home.
Shoulder bags
First, suitcases. An essential duo, so much so that the GSX-S1000GT is sold only with its luggage in certain countries. They occupy a space of 36 liters each, for an effective capacity of 26 liters. To put it simply, you can fit a full-face helmet, a phone and a Big Mac (especially since they've become as thick as a washcloth...). The luggage compartments should weigh down the hips by around ten kilos; plus the maximum 5 kilos that can be stowed in each of them.
Another must-have feature, which should be standard on the Suz': heated grips. They can be adjusted to three levels of intensity, and are sublime company when the wind chill arrives. Finally, since touring means long stages and hundreds of kilometers, the comfort saddles will better protect your posteriors, while adding a touch of class with their topstitching.
This + package costs an extra 999 euros, i.e. half the normal price. Basically, Suzuki is charging you for the suitcases and offering you everything else. All of which reinforces the predispositions raised by this bike's name and, by the same token, puts it back in the spotlight.
A quick reminder of the attributes of this GSX-S1000GT +, with 152 horsepower, a chassis derived from the previous-generation GSX-R 1000, Brembo brakes and an abundance of reasonable electronics: 6.5-inch color TFT screen, Bluetooth, USB socket, traction control, ABS, shifter, cruise control, 3 riding modes, Easy Start system and Low RPM Assist.
Too bad the machine didn't also get a Touring bubble. We won't go into the merits of semi-active suspensions - the manufacturer reserves them for its GSX-S1000GX crossover. Incidentally, it too is available with the + pack.
