Motorcycle specifications Suzuki 1000 Katana Motorlive Edition 2019 An exchange with the 4th power
presentation of the 1000 Katana Motorlive Edition 2019
Most limited series pay tribute to important riders, events, teams or partners. Exceptionally, it's the media that are honored on the honorary capes of certain motorcycles. For 2019, Suzuki and our Motorlive colleagues are presenting a very special edition of the 1000 Katana.
A one-off, a unique creation for the pleasure of a Suz fan and the media whose name slams on the tank. Deep as night, highlighted with drunken strokes of bloody burgundy, the Suzuki 1000 Katana Motorlive is as remarkable and desired as it is deserved. No sale, no show-bike, just a superb gift for the winner of a competition organized by the media - https://www.motoservices.com/katana-motorlive-edition -
The prize is symbolic, and seasoned to perfection. Starting with a grey Katana, the Team's Color workshop concocted this deco, covering the bike from the bubble to the wheel-ends; the front and rear taking advantage of the opportunity to play on two different shades.
The seat, with its two-tone texture, also plays the same game. Next, the neo-retro Suz is fitted with mirrors, a front shoe, handlebar ends, a bridge mounting plate and a rim painted amaranth red. The 4-piston radial brake calipers are bright red.
One of the highlights of this unique motorcycle is its breathability. The Katana Motorlive has the privilege of sporting a Leovince LV PRO muffler, developed for this streamlined roadster. The Italian equipment is accompanied by a few carbon parts.
For the record, the Katana 1000 is built on the basis of a GSX-S 1000, and benefits from a 149 hp 4-cylinder engine taken from a former GSX-R big bike. The chassis is also derived from the hypersport, but from a different generation than the engine.
The styling is inspired by the 1100 of the '80s; the electronics are a little more up-to-date, but without excess. Between the wires are 3-stage traction control, ABS, Easy Start System, Low RPM Assist and a full digital speedometer. For sporty driving, an assisted clutch with anti-dribble will be a good companion against backward swerves.
