presentation of the GSX-S 1000 Race Edition 2023
In the game of muscular roadsters, Suzuki has appointed the 1000 GSX-S as its representative. A Mazinger closely derived from the GSX-R 1000, it's both powerful and shocking; but without the totally unreasonable power of some hyper-roadsters. Its 150+ horsepower can happily get the pulse racing.
Here it is even more provocative in this "Race Edition". The big GSX-S has been given a cosmetic treatment by SERT Factory Workshop, the competitive-customer arm of the famous Endurance team. Already creators of the "1300 Hayabusa Bol d'or 100 ans ", the Mancelle-based team worked with Suzuki France to excite the styling and give this bike a little more oomph.
Sporty blue mixed with a hint of gold, with a dash of blood at the brake calipers, a few spikes and piping throughout, a custom two-tone seat, and the SERT emblem distributed to the extremities of the bike (hoof, headlight, tank protector and seat shell) - here's an APX Factory design that won't let you rest your eyes.
In fact, it looks just like the "World Champion" edition of the same GSX-S 1000, in 2022......, which has received very little media coverage (including MP).
The deco is striking, the equipment adapts. The "Race Edition" gets analuminum platenumbered SERT FW, a short plate holder and a Suzuki windscreen, GB Racing crankcase protectors, a "Race" seat cover and an Akrapovic silencer. The titanium and carbon envelope saves 1 kilo, 2.6 horsepower and a tiny bit of torque.
Purchasers will also be entitled to a SERT FW Welcome Pack, consisting of a T-shirt and cap. Beyond that, this Suzuk' aims to convey the sporting spirit of the multi-victorious Endurance team. In our opinion, the 2013 GSX-R 1000 SERT replica was better suited to this kind of transcription.
You'll have to pay 3500 euros more than the standard version to afford this flashy, impetuous machine.
