Based on the Sprint ST, Triumph offers a machine with almost identical capabilities, but with a much more dynamic look. With its half fairing, the Triumph shows a sporting streak, something that its engine, agility and handling will only delight us with. The 3-cylinder engine comes from Hinckley's big sports car, the Daytona. Supple, torquey, punchy and highly available, this mill has it all. Although it has been redesigned for greater presence at low and mid-rpm, it retains its bewitching sound and typical charm. The chassis is the same as that of the ST: an aluminum perimeter, but without the single-arm. This saves money. It also features the compact, ultra-light 600 TT dashboard. With all these assets, the Sprint RS is no slouch to ride. On twisty, curvy roads, the machine handles like a bicycle. Liveliness and agility go hand in hand with the engine's uninterrupted acceleration. As always with Triumph, the rear brake is catastrophic. But what a joy for the front; truly excellent, as is the gearbox, whose handling borders on perfection. With the fairing gone, the center stand removed and 10 kilos lifted, the sportivo-GT makes the most of its light weight.

What a treat! All the more so as comfort has not been forgotten, and it retains decent protection. This is less true for the upper body of tall people, as the original bubble is too low. A problem on long rides. What's more, the motorcycle lends itself well to this type of riding, with its generous range and engine breathing to match. Situated exactly halfway between sport and touring, the RS embodies an English VFR in its own way, with a much more pronounced engine charm. Playful without being radical, sporty without being uncomfortable, this English car has everything to seduce.

Great bike, great engine, I went to pick it up 400 km from home and on the way back I rode a lot of freeway ðŸ˜¡but once I got out of the autoburner it was a pleasure to ride the torque and agility, and I know what I'm talking about because I've had a Ducati 900ssie.

Probleme de démarrage sur 955 Sprint

It runs on three legs and unfortunately I don't know much about it. It hasn't been running for 6 months and I put sp98 petrol in it

I've owned my Sprint since August 2002. This bike is perfectly suited to the ultra repressive atmosphere of the moment, as it allows you to enjoy yourself at speeds barely above the authorized limits, and to pull out all the stops at the first bend. There, its precise, rigid chassis allows for every kind of daring. And this engine, which is a delight at low revs, loves to rev up to mid revs to lengthen the stride without ever running out of steam. Last but not least, its sheer versatility makes it hard to part with, as it's also a true tourer, with a perfect sport-GT riding position that's just as at home on rough sections as it is on the motorway, and above all, a range worthy of the name (quite the opposite of the SV1000S) and comfortable as a duo. Its shortcomings include limited lighting, even when the headlights are coupled, unpleasant clutch control due to the lever being too far away, and a shock absorber that's too dry. I own a 2002 RS with just under 19,000Kms. Superb agility, less weight than the ST. The rear brake needs a long break-in to be effective. Consumes 5.5 to 6L of fuel while having fun. The most versatile of all bikes. No matter what anyone says, the protection is sufficient to allow you to calm down (insufficient after 150Km/h). pec Model 2000

this machine really adapts to the mood of the day. I use it almost daily on the way to work, on rides (often as a duo), or on fun weekend outings. The mill is supple and torquey (original version), but also extra in the revs. Torque and engine braking are ideal for mountain passes. The front drivetrain gives you confidence, but the rear is too dry on bad surfaces (I'd love to have an adaptable amorto). Weight is contained (around 230 kg with full tanks), and the chassis is easy to handle (except at walking pace). Stability has been prioritized over liveliness. This machine is truly endearing, thanks to its versatility and, above all, its mill. The icing on the cake is that it's safe and sound, allowing you to progress in "sporty" riding. After 22,000 km, no reliability problems apart from the fuel connector! (2002 model) Fortunately, the after-sales service follows. Low fuel consumption even when pulling on it (6 liters on average). Reasonable maintenance buget (serviced every 10,000 km). Conclusion: after 2 years: no need to change; it's a versatile machine with a strong character! I wonder what it would be like unbridled. Marco Model 2000

A very user-friendly machine. Accessible yet highly efficient, it's perfect for novices and sporty riders alike. It's a heavy machine, but it's easy and agile on the road (at any speed). Limited protection for taller riders, but that's common for sport bikes. It gives a feeling of ease, but can be nasty if you're looking for it.
