presentation of the R1 1000 Limited Edition Toprak Razgatlioglu 2022
Toprak Razgatlioglu has won more than a crown in 2021. He carved out a glorious place for himself at Yamaha by taking home the WSBK World Championship title, just ahead of class legend Jonathan Rea. It's customary for riders of this calibre to see their glory rekindled on production bikes... or very small production bikes like this R1 Limited Edition World Championship Replica.
For a long time now , tributes of this kind have been paid with decorations based on those of championship machines. Racing dresses applied to sporty wheels, ready to make fire on the road or track. But times are changing, and princes are now celebrated on machines prepared exclusively for the racetrack.
Availability is also very different between today's Super-replica and yesterday's special series. The CBR Rossi or Charpentier, Ducati Bayliss, MV-Agusta Agostini and others were available in several hundred examples. The new wave is arriving in dribs and drabs. Only 21 examples of the R1 Razgatlioglu will be offered, barely more than the 2019 GYTR and half as many as the Petronas.
Blinkers , headlights, mirrors... forget about it. Unnecessary for the mission entrusted to it: performance and nothing else. This R1 comes under the care of the Crescent brand in England, which is heavily involved in racing. First of all, a good course of vitamins to boost the engine to 205 hp... at the rear wheel. The result is 20 more horsepower, thanks to a GYTR racing ECU, a titanium Akrapovic exhaust and a few mechanical adjustments.

Rare owners are already assured of an impressive power-to-weight ratio. They'll also get a hell of a chassis package. Crescent has installed Öhlins suspension, dazzling Brembo GP4RX brake calipers controlled by an RCS Corta Corsa master cylinder, Pirelli Diablo Superbike SC1 slicks and an arsenal of parts used mainly in championship racing. On board, you'll find items from the GYTR and other highly specialized brands: adjustable remote controls, a racing harness, a BMC air filter, a 520-pitch DID chain with Gandini teeth, Probolt titanium screws and bolts.... a real compèt' folder.
The superb finery is not the only embellishment on this very special hypersport. Exclusivity is also expressed by Toprak's signature on the rear shell and certificate of authenticity. This document is also signed by Paul Denning, Yamaha's WSBK team manager. The bike bears a nameplate on the frame signed by the technician who worked on it.
Other bonuses include a special training day with a Crescent rider, a VIP pass for two for a WSBK 2022 weekend of your choice, and equipment worn by the Turkish rider during the 2021 season.
Toprak has achieved something unthinkable in recent years: ousting Jonathan Rea from his main residence as World Superbike Champion: first place. OK, the Yamaha rider was helped a little by the FIM's Trafalgar coup against Kawa earlier this year - Ducati also took it in the chin in 2019. No matter for Iwata's form, who has been waiting for this title since 2009.
Yamaha honors him with this exceptional R1. The same dress as its many-time winning Superbike, and a very high level of competitiveness. As much as the price, set at £33,000. To reserve it, all you need to do is prepare the equivalent of 46,000 euros (roughly) and visit the dedicated -> web page.
