presentation of the X 250TH 2026
Aprilia has gone all out with its X-series machines—motorcycles that go beyond formidable, which Noale aims to make as close as possible to MotoGP. With this X 250TH, the racing department has further refined this near-prototype and introduced a major new feature.
Before we dive in, let’s take a moment to appreciate its design and its homage to Uncle Sam. This heavily—VERY heavily—modified RSV4 borrows the entire bodywork and significant aerodynamic modifications from the (also exclusive) RSV4 X-GP, over which it drapes a large American flag. It also celebrates the 250th anniversary of the United States Declaration of Independence. Harley-Davidson is doing the same with its Enthusiast Liberty Edition special series.
A declaration of love for the United States
Aprilia is making a big splash with this campaign, likely influenced in part by its Trackhouse satellite team. In addition to being unveiled as a prelude to the U.S. Grand Prix, it stands as a true symbol with its “Stars and Stripes” livery. So prominent, in fact, that it practically oozes like a 10,000-calorie ice cream sundae under the Texas sun.
Furthermore, of the 30 units that will be sold, 25 are reserved for the U.S. market.
Out-of-this-world performance
But for buyers, what matters most is its top-tier potential. Still powered by the seriously tuned 1,099 cc V4, the X 250TH manages to squeeze out 2 more horsepower than the X-GP. The result: 240 horsepower!!! At the same 13,750 rpm. Without affecting the torque, which remains at 13.4 mkg.

Such power will propel the rider to stratospheric speeds as fast as a falcon on the hunt. This is where THE technical revolution comes in: Aprilia has equipped its X 250TH with a new generation of brakes, unprecedented for a production motorcycle: carbon discs. That’s the same technology used in MotoGP. Once heated up, the 340 mm Brembo discs should drive your ulnas into your shoulder blades. The machined aluminum calipers, cooled by fins, will bite savagely with carbon pads that are one-third lighter than sintered pads.
In addition to increased efficiency, the discs are half the weight of steel ones, allowing for far greater agility. Especially since, at just 165 kg dry weight, the Italian bike weighs barely more than a MotoGP machine—and less than most 400s on the market. It’s actually almost on par with its cousin, the RS 457, save for a 200-horsepower difference between the two.
Tools for peak performance
Aprilia is the first to introduce this type of brake system… The first, along with Ducati and its Superleggera V4 Centenario, which also claims to be the first to feature carbon discs on a street-legal bike. As it happens, the two Italian ultra-sport bikes were unveiled on the same day. Between Noale and Bologna, it’s more than just a battle for performance.
Except that… On the Ducati, the discs are carbon-ceramic; on the Aprilia, they’re full carbon.
As usual, this pure track machine is equipped with high-end features:
- SC Project dual exhaust
- Öhlins FKR pressurized fork
- Öhlins TTX shock absorber
- Öhlins steering damper
- STM dry clutch
- Regina 520-pitch drive chain
- Titanium sprocket
- PBR lightweight final drive sprocket
- Marchesini forged magnesium rims
- Pirelli slicks
- Optimized seat wings
- Adjustable machined aluminum footrests
- Carbon fairing and seat support manufactured by PAN Compositi
- Racing instrument panel
- APX engine control unit to manage all on-board electronics. Derived from systems used in the Superbike Championship, the APX allows you to adjust power output, traction control, anti-wheelie, and engine braking independently for each gear and calibrate via GPS.

To configure it, you’ll need to use a special Yashi computer. The Aprilia Factory Works department will provide this, along with a protective cover, front and rear stands, IRC heated covers, and a floor mat.

Want to talk about the price? It’s not a good idea, but okay.
$150,000 in the US. Much less in Europe, where it costs €115,000… plus VAT and taxes.
