presentation of the TUONO V4 1100 Factory 2018

Rarely has a roadster been more vindictive. Closely derived from the RSV4 but with a bigger engine, the Tuono V4 is a monster of the road. A hypersport with high handlebars and lava in the pistons. In 2017, it received a minor update to comply with Euro4 and raise its level of efficiency.

the Factory version logically benefits from the same improvements. However, it stands out for its richer equipment, mainly in terms of suspension. The gold color is unmistakable. The Aprilia Tuono 1100 V4 Factory is fitted with a fully adjustable Öhlins NIX inverted fork, 400 grams lighter than the previous version. The rear axle is also controlled by an Öhlins shock absorber. The steering is also equipped with a Swedish element to calm unpleasant belching. This Factory version can be spotted from afar with its Superpole graphics, incisive and brightly colored. It also features a more menacing tire: a 200 mm-wide Pirelli Diablo Supercorsa, whereas the Tuono RR is fitted with a 190 mm Rosso III.

common features with the RR version - You'll have to put up with the 175 horsepower delivered by the big V4. The latter has also gained a symbolic Nm in this evolution, bringing the total to 12.3. Still on the subject of common improvements with the RR, the Tuono Factory gains larger brake discs (330 mm), Brembo M50 clamps, a multi-axis inertial unit, a more powerful engine ECU and an improved APRC package. The contents are just like a hypersport bike:

- New ATC: traction control, adjustable over 8 positions, refined and more powerful.
- New AWC: in-house anti-wheeling, adjustable on 3 levels, now much more precise thanks to the IMU.
- New ALC: Aprilia Launch Control, the stop-start assistant. Adjustable on 3 levels and even more effective.
- New AQS: the shifter, named Aprilia Quick Shift, which now allows both upshifting and downshifting without touching the clutch.
- New APL: Aprilia Pit Limiter, for selecting and limiting the maximum speed allowed in the pit lane.
- New ACC: cruise control. The new electronic management system makes it possible to maintain a set speed without having to use the throttle.
- Cornering ABS technology. It works in conjunction with rear wheel lift mitigation (RLM) to guarantee stability and efficiency during deceleration. Adjustable to 3 levels and disconnectable.
Last but not least, the Tuono comes with a TFT color display as standard, and the V4-MP platform as an option. This allows you to retrieve telemetric data via your smartphone and configure the bike's settings.

aprilia has appropriately renewed its attack roadster, making it a formidably sharp weapon. But while the machine is seriously held together by an excellent chassis and multiple assistances, let's not forget that it's a real bomb on the open road, capable of setting a whole bunch of benchmarks. Be demanding! The Tuono 1100 V4 Factory will ask the same of you.

Do you know if it's possible to replace the tuono RR saddle with the factory one?

Former owner of a 2015 version. It ended up in a ditch due to overconfidence after trying a ducati v4s. I regret it because everything was there. Power, torque, bite under braking, reassuring chassis. But it still had a few flaws. The worst for me, who at the time did a lot of city riding. Below 4,000 rpm, it revs very badly and bangs like a bi. So in town, you constantly had to use the clutch to play with it (it's not a 3-cylinder...). The heat rises quickly despite a free line. Insane fuel consumption (rarely below 8L). And worst of all, the price of parts and after-sales service. As I said after the accident, I blew up the fork, the fork head and the tees, but I figured there wasn't much else. The expert's verdict: €20,000 in repairs... More expensive than the new bike. It's worth noting that the catalog price of original parts is simply outrageous. For the record, a simple fork arm cost 2815€. So future buyers, take this into account, because the slightest fall can end up as a wreck for the insurer, because it's too expensive to repair. Rating : 4/5

I took possession of my machine on March 13, model 2018 FACTORY with 1000 kms as new after a test of less than 10 minutes in January is a very big blow heart. The return journey of around 60 kms has been nothing but bliss, and since the confines of my home, I can't help but admire and listen to it. A compromise for the sports car enthusiast and a comfortable ride, and yes, at 60. Thank you APRILIA for this magnificent realization everything is there character, sonority, facility and sometimes even with the acceleration I have an impression to be in Montmello....... I've just got my Tuono Factory back with this new 2020 color scheme, I've had the rims painted red, it's even more beautiful
Otherwise, it's a monster of the road, the V4 is bewitching and addictive, never tried anything so terrible and I removed the valve on the exhaust that was holding it back a little under 4000 rpm, the result is a severe kick from 2000 rpm, not to mention the incisive and easy chassis .....attention license trap for this exceptional bike.....

Hello, I'm taking the liberty of replying to you, I loved the design of the superpole with red rims but I'm thinking of buying a new black 2020, do you have any photos of your red rims? Thank you very much Rating : 5/5

Magnificent, just the way we like it. The color is terrible in the factory version!
I'll try it in a month, I can't take it anymore!

A sensational machine, it's nothing less than an RSV4 with straight handlebars and no fairing.

All the benefits of a sports bike, without the drawbacks.

On the Factory version, the Ohlins suspension elements provide rigorous handling, but penalize slightly on rough roads.

The 1100 cc engine boasts truly exceptional torque, providing almost permanent and inexhaustible power, although it doesn't like to rev below 4,000 rpm.

The only fly in the ointment? the Factory version costs a minimum of 17,000â'¬, and there are no carbon parts on this model... a real shame on such an exceptional machine...

To sum up...

This really is the most radical roadster Aprilia has ever produced...
