Motorcycle specifications Aprilia1100 RSV4 X 2019 The pilots' crusade.

The Aprilia RSV4 X is no ordinary sports bike. It's one of those new commandos tasked with destroying every last superfluous hundredth of a second. Weapons honed to the extreme, sublimating the capabilities of the hypersports from which they derive. Still non-existent until recently, the Yamaha R1 GYTR, Suzuki GSX-R 1000 Ryuyo and now the Aprilia RSV4 1100 X only find their true worth on the track. In fact, that's the only place they can put their wheels. For Noale, it's more than just performance.
The Roman numeral that adorns this RSV4 symbolizes 10 years since the birth of Noale's rocket. With its unmistakable chassis, bubbling 4-cylinder V-twin, compact size and raptor-like looks, it immediately established itself as a master of the racetrack. The latest evolution, the 1100 Factory, raises the bar even higher by becoming an X model.
No headlights, no plates, no mirrors - it doesn't need any. And that saves weight. It could have made do with this weight saving, boosting its engine and exciting the eyes with its Italian racing dress. But the RSV4 X goes much further than that.
Its engine, almost its soul, makes the most of its 1078 cm3. It receives a vitamin treatment to boost its horsepower from 217 to 225. What fire! What a monster! Did Biaggi have more watts in his connecting rods when he won his Superbike title? No, he didn't. To gain these extra horsepower, the block is assembled with the utmost precision at Aprilia Racing, where it receives the care of manual assembly and an overhaul of all tolerances. The engine-makers took advantage of the opportunity to give the engine a bit of a workout with new camshafts, springs, valve caps and convex bucket tappets; to give it better breathing with the installation of a MotoGP-style Sprintfilter air filter; and to speed up its breathing with a titanium exhaust system complete with Akrapovic silencer.
With the increase in power comes a correction to the ECU mapping. The RSV4 X needs its own parameters to offer its full potential. It also features all the APRC assistance systems that the Noale-based company has made a point of introducing early on in the development of its sports bikes.
But this was no revolution. Other models in the 70s had placed their neutral at the very bottom of the selector.
We were talking about 225 horsepower. A huge slice of power on a slice of resistance that has become even lighter. While the engine was gaining biceps, the bike was shedding 12 kilos. How? By covering itself with a carbon fairing, forged Marchesini magnesium rims, a lighter fuel tank and aluminum parts such as footpegs, clutch lever, brake lever protection and upper fork crown. After this regime, the Aprilia weighs just 165 kilos dry, 3 less than a machine competing in World Superbike.
A sharp tool with impressive dynamic qualities. And with a willingness to provide top-notch deceleration. The Aprilia RSV4 X is fitted with Brembo's top-of-the-range products: 330 mm T-Drive brake tracks, a 19x16 machined radial pump and GP4-MS radial calipers - nothing less than one-piece clamps cut from solid. This is a step up from the Stylema from the same manufacturer.
As on the 1100 Factory, Öhlins suspension components, a color TFT screen, aerodynamic widgets and the ability to adjust engine position in the frame, column angle and swingarm pivot point are all present.
