Motorcycle specifications Ducati1000 Panigale V4 R 2019 The heiress of the future

On discovering the Panigale V4-R, one thing rises up between the heart and the spine: the storm. Ducati has tipped the concept of hypersport into mechanical madness. There's only one definition at this moment, that of Mark Renton in Trainspotting:"Remember the best orgasm you ever had, multiply it by 1000, and you're still a long way from the truth".
in Bologna, revenge on Superbike has just found the weapon to strike. Tired of seeing this championship slip away from them, tired of seeing green supplant red. Almost an insult, given the brand's dominance over the years. The V4 R dares to go further than anything else on the market. Its engine attests to this, illustrates it, magnifies it.
First and foremost, to get back under 1000 cm3, as required by SBK regulations. The standard and S V4s have allowed themselves an extra 1103 cm3, to offer plenty of torque and availability for "civilian" use. The V4-R's 90° V-4 is now 998 cm3, with a host of technical optimizations. Before we get into that, let's grasp the staggering number of horses it can produce. Watch out, it's going to hurt!
221 horsepower. 221 !!! Crazy power. Drivers hungry for more and more power are in for a treat. And for those who manage to unplug all the fuses in the cranial box, the grafting of the Akrapovic titanium exhaust shifts the cursor into irreversible alienation. The Italian block now boasts 234 horsepower. The weight, reduced by 3 kilos since the standard model, drops from 172 to 165.5 kilos with the Slovenian parts fitted. Amazing! Frightening! Insane!
On the other hand, don't expect to find the same availability as the block on other V4s; it will have the character of a racing engine, with above all response at high revs.
the Panigale V4 R won't let you take a breath, regain your footing or take it all in. To make their 4-cylinder V-twin run as hard as it does, the Italian engine-makers started from the same base and then developed it considerably. The first step was to reduce the piston stroke from 53.5 mm to 48.4 mm, giving the engine a displacement of 998 cm3. Next, the titanium connecting rods were lightened by 100g each, the aluminum pistons had only two rings and ribbed walls for greater rigidity and strength, while saving weight.the vilo has been lightened by 1100g, the diameter of the injection bodies has been increased by 4mm (56mm), the oil pump has been redesigned and the alternator has also lost weight (100g).
Aerodynamic studies have produced a new kind of petal, and a number of improvements exclusive to the R model. Particularly for the rider: with a larger bubble, a fork head extended by 30 mm and side panels 38 mm wider on each side, the protection is both more effective and allows better penetration of the air, erasing the rider.
You'll have noticed that the sides of the fairing have gained large openings. Not for style, but to cool the mechanics. With the watts you need to bend a rim, the calories are going to fly. The gills evacuate 16% more heat than the oil cooler, and 6% on the water side.
The beautiful pistarde has not forgotten to be refined, with carbon parts, a sublime brushed-aluminum tank and a seat embossed with its name
the chassis has also been upgraded for enhanced performance. To this end, the Panigale's frame has been redesigned. Its aluminum structure bears a strong resemblance to that of other versions (Normal, S, Speciale, Corse), but the front section has been lightened and stiffened. The swingarm features a 4-position adjustable anchorage point. Let's take a look at the suspension. Öhlins, a must. Except that while the S version uses semi-active elements, the R version uses classic settings, with good old-fashioned tools. It's lighter, and as the bike will spend almost all its time on the track, it doesn't need a system that constantly corrects road imperfections.
The V4 R is fitted with a superb new NPX 25/30 pressurized inverted fork. It's 600g lighter than that of the S, contains a damping system derived from that of the SBK, and regulates its compression on the left tube (containing a 25mm piston) and rebound on the right tube (where a 30mm piston works). The rear shock absorber is a TTX36 and the steering, as always, has its own shock absorber.
Riders will be delighted to discover a new-caliber weapon; conversely, the tires will understand their pain. They are mounted on Marchesini forged aluminum rims. The brakes, ready for attack, are Brembo Stylema, even more efficient than the M50.
But that's not all, far from it. The V4 R is also equipped with a stand limiter, lap timer with GPS, DDA+ GPS data analysis, color TFT instrumentation... and as an option can be fitted with the Ducati DMS multimedia system to manage telephone functions. Not sure the rider is really willing to make phone calls in a big curve negotiated at 200 km/h...
Last but not least, three riding modes are available, so you can set the pace as you like. The "Road" mode, with the assistants well and truly present, and a gentle engine response, if you can call it that - "Sport", with a more valiant engine response and less intervention from the electronics - "Sport", with a more aggressive engine response and less intervention from the electronics - "Road", with the assistants well and a gentle engine response, if you can call it thatrace", for top-level riders, with direct engine response, minimal power assist and ABS active only at the front.
In each case, there's no reduction in power. 221 hp for everyone.
with the Panigale V4 R, Ducati sets the Superbike standards of the future. Its demonic engine leads the way in setting new power targets. This bike has splashed into the world of sportbikes today, and will both stun and intoxicate the majority of riders of all stripes.

The problem for me is that the bike heats up enormously, which is a big difference from the v4-v4s
