presentation of the 1000 RAPTOR 2005

The Italians have long been renowned for the quality of their chassis and design; the Japanese for the excellence of their engines. With this in mind, Cagiva's engineers attempted a marriage of reason and passion... and here's the result: the Raptor.
This offspring doesn't pull any punches. It's a sports roadster with a silhouette that's both original and aggressive - a machine in the new line of machines equipped with the mills of big sports bikes(Ducati S4, Honda X-11, MV-Agusta Brutale...). The trellis frame houses the Suzuki 1000 TLS's highly successful twin. This extraordinarily supple, lively, vibration-free twin climbs the revs with gusto. It gives the Raptor great performance and acceleration. The rigorous chassis allows you to exploit the full potential of this bubbly motorcycle. Equipped as standard with sport tires, the machine immediately gets you into the swing of things with striking efficiency. Corner changes are made with ease, the machine being both light and agile. A pleasure to ride.

Perfection is out of this world, but the Raptor's shortcomings are disappointing for an Italian. Although the brakes are original Brembo, they would be more appreciable with better bite and more power. As for the finish, an effort needs to be made, especially on this machine, which is frankly polished in terms of design.
CAGIVA 1000 RAPTORAll in all, the Raptor is a real eye-catcher. A singular, eye-catching look, a healthy engine, a playful chassis... a lot of fun, and enough to shake up the category's core values. If you're tempted by the Cagiva but need a touch of eccentricity, the manufacturer also offers the V-Raptor version, equipped with a fork head straight out of a Japanese manga.

French rocket Model 2000
Take a bike from the 2000s with an excellent chassis. Stick it with today's technology: andreani cartridge; shock factory shock absorber. a good tps setting, a 17 sprocket, a brembo pr19 master cylinder, some m9rr and you've got a modern motorcycle killer. We're not talking about the s1000r or any other 18,000-buck monster, but the so-called mid-size 900 or 750 cm3 . For a contained weight, you get character and torque. A purposeful engine with punch and a good range of use. All it needed was something to anchor it firmly to the ground, and something to slow it down. After a 2019 r1250r, I have no regrets.
The fact remains that it's getting harder to find parts. But the price-pleasure ratio of this bike is unbeatable. It offers the opportunity to make modifications at a very contained price.

I'm being politically correct but it's an excellent bike, however I agree with stuntmsn it looks light from the front, at the next service I'm going to load the front by raising the fork tubes 0.5cm and change the oil (not a more viscous oil but rather a larger volume and then I'll come and tell you about it.but if someone has already solved this problem let me know how to do it on this forum.see you soon. for my part, I don't regret my choice at all! I wanted a bike that wouldn't go unnoticed! and that's the case, plus the chassis is divinely playful, while the engine (TL1000S!!!! from suz!!!so no complaints!)I enjoy every ride!!!!just for the finishes (Italian!!!)a little let go especially given its price!!!but overall it's a machine I will keep very long!!!I love it!!!!bonne route to all bikers!!!! A very interesting motorcycle for those who want an unusual high-performance roadster.ultra-competitive second-hand purchase price and great looks.pleasantly surprised by the reliability (electrical system, engine => suzuki) but disappointed by the finish
(I don't regret my choice.

with a double exhaust system under the saddle and a single-arm, this is Italian haute couture! A diva that doesn't take kindly to crumpled upholstery, but gives it a run for its money when the ribbon is smooth and wavy. And not fussy on a daily basis. A very, very good choice. Rating : 5/5
