Motorcycle specifications Ducati1098 R Bayliss Limited Edition 2009 The king's motorcycle

Sport

with his 3rd World Superbike Championship title, Troy Bayliss becomes one of Ducati's legendary masters. He has won his titles on 3 different generations of hypersport bikes built in Bologna: the 998, 999 and 1098. The brand is not ungrateful: it is now offering its fearsome 1098 R as a special Bayliss Limited Edition.

its distinguishing mark is this magnificent Ducati-Xerox official team deco, the same used for the final round of the 2008 season - and only for that round, for the champion's farewell to competition. A superb dress designed by Aldo Drudi, adorned with the Australian flag (Troy's homeland) on the sides, stamped with the number 21 and free of sponsor stickers.

technically, this limited series is identical to the 1098 R in every respect. We're treated to a high-pedigree chassis, with red-painted tubular trellis frame, Öhlins inverted fork, Brembo monobloc radial brake calipers, Öhlins TTX-R rear shock (the ultimate), Marchesini magnesium wheels, Ducati data acquisition system, electronic traction control with 8 profiles, Öhlins adjustable steering damper, all-carbon fairing and a big, crazy twin: 1198 cm3, 180 hp and almost 14 mkg - all this fighting gear for a weight of just 165 kg.

rare and fantastical, the 1098 R Bayliss Limited Edition will be produced in a limited edition of 500, each with a numbered plate on the fork crown and a few essential goodies: a single-arm stand, a blanket, a microchip for track use and a Termignoni racing exhaust system spewing 102 dB and 6 hp more in race trim.
