Motorcycle specifications DucatiPanigale V2 Superquadro Final Edition 2025 The legacy of a legend
presentation of the Panigale V2 Superquadro Final Edition 2025
It feels like the end for the Panigale V2. Ducati presents a special edition with a very ambiguous name: Superquadro Final Edition. It would seem that Bologna's last V2-powered sports bike is about to retire. Final Edition" was the last word on the 998 S and Panigale 1299 R, closing important chapters in the history of the twins. The youngest of the Panigales seems to have been pushed towards the exit. But with great panache!
Once again, Ducat' has gone to great lengths to create the deco for this concluding version. It's the fruit of a collaboration between Drudi Performance and Centro Stile Ducati. The aggressiveness is total, with racing effluvia galore. The alternating red, white, grey and black hints at a hint of the strongest versions of the Desmo dynasty (R / SP2 / Corse). This "Superquadro Tribute" livery pays homage to the engine, with a technical drawing on the fairing sides representing the twin's innards, exactly where it's located. A false transparency full of symbolism.
The Superquadro that lives inside is the last of its kind, spewing out 155 hp and 10.6 mkg from its 955 cm3. An engine with a bewitching sound, dry and growling, allowing Bolognese twin-cylinder enthusiasts to enjoy this iconic - and for some, irreplaceable - machine for a while longer.
The Panigale V2 Superquadro Final Edition is based on the Bayliss edition. This gives it superb, fully adjustable Öhlins suspension. Too bad the factory didn't take the opportunity to install Brembo Stylema calipers - oh well, it's the last of the line after all. But that's not to say the bike hasn't been well looked after. There are a number of exclusive features on board:
- A machined aluminum upper fork crown with progressive serial number
- A pilot seat with specific embroidery
- A dashboard animation on ignition
- A dedicated ignition key
- A host of carbon parts: silencer, front and rear mudguards, swingarm protection, chain protection, clutch housing protection, shock absorber protection.
- Sport grips
- Rizoma machined adjustable footrests
- GPS module for DDA data acquisition
- License plate bracket removal kit
- Machined aluminum rearview mirror removal kit
- Machined solid aluminum fuel filler cap
- Dedicated motorcycle cover
- Certificate of authenticity

It's destined to become a motorcycle... a Ducati collector's bike. Its equipment ennobles it, while its rarity is quantified by a limited production run of 555 units. The price has been raised accordingly. Suffocating, of course. Does this mean the end of the V-twin among Ducati SBKs? ............ Or just the end of the Superquadro in favor of a new generation V2?
M.B - Manufacturer's photos
The origins of the Superquadro engine go back a long way. In 1988, when the Superbike 851 debuted Ducati's first twin with 4 valves per cylinder: Desmoquattro. It would evolve for over 15 years, before being transformed into a Testastretta for the 998 R and the 999 and 1098 generations. The Superquadro arrives in 2011, for the 1199 Panigale. Bore and power ratings become increasingly extreme. It peaks at 1285 cm3 and 215 hp on the 1299 Panigale Superleggera. It will be available in more modest displacements for the "little Panigales", such as 898 cm3 and 955 cm3.
