Motorcycle specifications Ducati1100 Streetfighter V4 SP 2022 A little more than extreme

presentation of the 1100 Streetfighter V4 SP 2022
To ensure a high level of performance, big bad roadsters have long been stripped-down versions of hypersports. Most have been toned down to suit street & road use. Except that with the Streetfighter V4, Ducati has erased any notion of appeasement between the sporty and the naked. To go any further would be insane... So they did.
The Streetfighter V4 SP is the latest addition to the family, and the most breathtaking ultra-high-performance model yet. As its name suggests, it's derived from the Panigale V4 SP. Nothing less than the version just below the R, with virtually the same level of efficiency for the very best riders - the V4R reveals its superiority in the hands of a pro.
SP for Sport Production. Although the word "sport" will soon be transformed into "racing", the machine's excessiveness is as unreasonable as it is exhilarating.
Let 's not get carried away with the engine. First, let's take a look at the good and the well-founded brought by these excitingly echoing initials. Ducati aficionados will have recognized the Panigale's identical decor: the "Winter Test", as they say in Bologna. Deep black with red highlights, exalted by a brushed aluminum tank. It's beautiful, demonic, powerful and frightening all at the same time.
One of the great assets of this super hyper-roadster are the new carbon wheels, taken directly from the Superleggera V4. The weight saving compared to the forged aluminum wheels of the V4 S is 1.4 kilos. The result is an appreciable gain in agility, as wheel inertia is reduced by 26% at the front and 46% at the rear. With its carbon fins and front mudguard, superb new CNC-machined aluminum footpegs adjustable at multiple points, the adoption of a lithium battery plus a few other special parts, the Streetfighter V4 SP loses 3 kilos off its total mass.
Fans of the old Ducati era will be delighted by the presence of a dry clutch. The clutch's distinctive sound is a real thrill, even more so with the openwork carbon cover revealing the essential technical features. Alain C. would drool over it. This STM-EVO SBK model is even more effective on the anti-dribble side, and transforms just a little more power.
When it comes to braking, there's nothing to hold back but the force of the brake calipers. They've been upgraded to Stylema R, which is an improvement on the top-of-the-range standard Stylema. The control unit is nothing less than a Brembo MCS 19.21 master cylinder.
Ducati has thought of a few little details to complete the Italian charm. A beautiful alcantara seat with embroidered V4 SP logo and red stitching, the Italian flag painted on the winglets, Ducati Corse lettering on the engine cowl, and no room for a passenger. It's too exclusive... and too selfish.
The Streetfighter V4 SP is based on the chassis, engine and electronics of the S version, and features Öhlins pilot-controlled suspension. A 43 mm NIX 30 inverted fork and a TTX36 monoshock whose settings are controlled in real time by the SMART EC 2.0 unit.
All assistants are at attention, a mix of platoon and commando. There are 3 riding modes, a 6-axis inertial unit, traction/wheeling/slip/engine braking controls, a tire auto-calibration system, a standing start assistant, an Up&Down shifter and cornering ABS.
It goes too far! We thought that only MV-Agusta could push the limits of unreasonableness at this level. But no: the Streetfighter V4 SP takes the Ducati roadster to a staggering level of exclusivity. It's not even a question of power; it's a commitment to the mind-boggling.
Each model will be numbered, with its id in the middle of the handlebars. It will cost "only" twice as much as the new Streetfighter V2.
