presentation of the CRF 250 R 2020
Developed in parallel with the flagship CRF 450 R, the Honda CRF 250 R's 2020 model benefits from significant improvements to both engine and chassis, enhancing performance and handling.
The engine modifications result in increases of 4% in power and 8% in maximum torque. This improvement, which is due to in-depth work on the cylinder head (new cam profile), piston and intake and exhaust ducts, is mainly concentrated in the mid-range.
The second gear has also been redesigned to take full advantage of the extra power, while the 3rd and 4th gears have been given a new surface treatment to reduce friction and facilitate gear shifting. Finally, taking advantage of the experience gained on the 450, the 2020 CRF 250 R features new injection maps adapted to each gear.
In addition to a slight weight saving, the adoption of the frame and swingarm from the 2019 CRF 450 R means gains in both flexibility (for the frame) and rigidity (for the swingarm), for greater stability and efficiency. Changes have also been made to the suspension to increase low-speed compression damping.
Finally, the 2020 CRF 250 R is equipped with new, more efficient and longer-lasting rear brake pads, eliminating the need for a disc guard.
New graphics complete the list of 2020 evolutions.
