Motorcycle specifications KTM250 SX 2013 Unparalleled vivacity

the 4-stroke is not compulsory. The 2013 KTM 250 SX raises the bar in its class thanks to its excellent performance and minimal weight, making it a serious contender to overtake the competition. Unbeatable power-to-weight ratio.
clutch
The new SX 250 engine features a damped DDS (Damped Diaphragm Steel) clutch with a wear-resistant steel bell housing, allowing the use of thinner steel plates for minimum integration width. Elastic washers for preloading reduce operating forces and leave space for integrated hub damping. The result: more traction and a gearbox with less stress. And with Brembo's hydraulically actuated clutch, the rider has everything under control right from the start.
frame
A state-of-the-art frame design in lightweight, high-strength chromium-molybdenum profiled tubing ensures the perfect blend of longitudinal and torsional rigidity. This not only ensures good handling and precise steering, but also excellent ride stability. Optimization also focused on the engine-head mountings and their connection to the frame. The frames of this 2013 model year have been given a new color and remain a benchmark in terms of weight and stability.
fork
Further improved, the 48 mm (1.89 in) inverted fork with closed cartridge benefits from a fully optimized adjustment and a new oil specification for perfect harmonization with the new frames and engines. The new oil is much more resistant to wear, and guarantees more consistent damping over both the stroke and life cycle. The new lower fork crown is 80 g (2.82 oz) lighter, and like the upper fork crown, has been CNC-milled from high-quality aluminium. cNC-milled from high-grade aluminum to significantly improve the fork's damping and response characteristics.
cladding
The completely redesigned fairing makes it clear - and not just from an aesthetic point of view - that the 2013 model represents a completely new generation of SX. In particular, the ergonomics and functionality of the new plastics are designed so that the chassis and engine as a whole form a whole, down to the smallest detail, in perfect harmony with the rider. The fuel tank and deflectors have been given a new look, as have the airbox and front mudguard covers, including the plate. The front mudguard, for example, no longer has any ribs on the inside to prevent mud accumulation. This innovative structure, combined with improved attachment of the mudguard to the fork crown, increases resistance to lateral torsion by up to 50%.
wheels
Lightweight CNC-machined hubs, top-of-the-range EXCEL rims and new black-coated spokes with lightweight aluminum nipples ensure minimum weight and maximum stability. Pirelli Scorpion tires (MX Mid Soft 32) are synonymous with griptraction and guaranteed performance. For the rear wheel, the 2013 KTM 250 SX features a reinforced axle from 20 mm (0.79 in) to 25 mm (0.98 in) for greater stability.
brakes
Brembo brakes are standard on KTM motocross bikes, with lightweight Wave disc brakes for optimum performance in terms of dosability and braking. On the rear wheel, the caliper support has been adapted to the larger axle diameter of the 2013 model.
