presentation of the F3 675 RC 2015
an MV-Agusta is the kind of motorcycle that provokes fantasy at the mere mention of the brand name. An F3 smells of gunpowder, and the dream begins to take shape. Especially since, not so far away and on the world's most beautiful circuits, a certain Jules Cluzel and his lieutenant Lorenzo Zanetti offer Supersport's most beautiful laps of wheels and glory for this pistarde. What could be more natural than for the F3 675 (and its 800 sibling) to sport the Reparto Corse colors for street use?
meccanica Verghera Agusta is therefore releasing a special RC series of its F3 675, limited to just 100 units. In addition to the superb racing dress, identical to that of the bike entered in the WSS, this little diva is equipped with a number of quality parts: pivot-mounted brake and clutch levers and Ergal footrests, a racing workshop stand, a carbon seat cover, a specific Reparto Corse cover and a set of anodized aluminum covers to replace the mirrors when you want to tease the track.
One minor disappointment is that the machine doesn't feature any engine or chassis upgrades, unlike its cousin, the F4 RC, which has been seriously amphetamined to the point of being a Superbike bike that's only just been homologated. We can console ourselves with the signatures on the sides of the tank covers. Cluzel puts his signature on the right-hand side, Zanetti on the left.
with or without the racing look, the F3 675 's plastic looks and enchanting engine make it a real eye-catcher. A 3-cylinder weighing just 52 kilos, with a cylinder head the size of an A4 page. Small, but very strong. The boiler can produce 144 hp in theformer ORO special version and over 15,000 rpm. This is absolutely superb performance for a mechanical unit of this type, virtually equivalent to a four-cylinder 750. The Triumph Daytona 's 675 cm3 English engine develops 128 horsepower - which gives you an idea of the work of the Italian engine-makers. But on this production version, only 128 hp are available, making it an equal match for theBritish model. The Ride-by-wire throttle provides advanced electronics and greater finesse when opening the throttle. The F3 features traction control and multiple injection maps. EAS shifter and ABS are also included.
The Bosch 9MP control unit is small, light and disconnectable. The F3 has two modes: Normal for road use, and Race for hard use. The trellis and monobracket frame is both superb and efficient. But to afford this beauty, you'll need a little more than the standard F3 675. Is it justified? It's up to you to decide, although enthusiasts have already made up their minds.
