presentation of the 750 GSX-R 20ème Anniversaire 2005
it may not have seemed like it at the time, but 1985 saw the appearance of the model that would mark a new era in sportbikes. To celebrate its 20th anniversary, Suzuki launched a limited edition (100 units for France) of its 750 GSX-R in the colors of the very first model. Judge for yourself: the design is 20 years old, yet it still retains a certain charm. Those who witnessed the illustrious ancestor's first rides will weep with joy. In two decades, the GSX-R has gained 42 horsepower and lost 13 kilos. But all has not always been so rosy... Would you believe it? The 750 suffered from overweight during its lifetime. In the 90s, it weighed in at 208 kg dry. While the first model was criticized for its roadholding, the current one is an all-round success.
Compared to the standard model, this edition is entitled to a few little extras: a special key, a subtly tinted bubble, a coloured chain and new front brake discs. The tracks are grooved and perforated, a tuning touch that suits the bike's image.
In quick succession, Suzuki presents 2 models that are sure to be the envy of many. First, a new 1,000 that's going to hurt like hell; then this 750 History Replica, honoring the legend born 20 years ago and endowed with the formidable potential we all know. The success of the GSX-R is not about to end.
* The 2005 600 GSX-R is also available in this limited-edition design, in the same number of units.

The mill... well, it's a gex, it pushes and pushes and pushes! Civilized up to 8,000 rpm, it gets really wild above 10,000 rpm
