Motorcycle specifications Suzuki500 GSF 2007 A habit for the monk

in addition to adapting the GS 500 to Euro 2 standards, thanks to a catalyzed exhaust and a fresh-air intake system, Suzuki offers a full fairing. The powertrain remains unchanged, except for the addition of an oil cooler. The same applies to the chassis. Only the Tokico brake calipers have been replaced by AP components. Thanks to this fairing, the GS opens the doors to the world of travel, at an extra cost of €142. it may not be as attractive in the event of breakage, but its GSX-R 1000-tinged design will delight young sports enthusiasts. The GS is first and foremost a basic model, supposed to have an honorable maintenance cost, but today its touring ambitions are revealed. On the downside, the GS is 11 kg heavier. Nothing to worry about. The GSF 500 is a competitor to the 500 GPZ, with perhaps a little more charm. Let's hope it retains its main features: its attractive price and its ease of use...
the 500 GS has always been THE cheap and easy Suzuki. From a basic medium-displacement roadster, it has become the cheapest and most accessible tourer in France. Offered at a bargain-basement price, this 500 lets you take on the open road for less than €5,000. A protective fairing and original bubble give the rider a good 150 mph without turning up his nose at the speedometer. With a straight back and a relaxed riding position, the kilometers fly by at a good pace. Only the ears don't enjoy the party: the bubble causes a fair amount of aerodynamic noise. An ounce of extra caution should be part of your luggage in the Rhone Valley. Sideways gusts of wind can influence steering. More annoying than dangerous. Comfortable, the GS will allow you to cover almost 350 km before refueling. The twin-cylinder engine that has accompanied the machine for many years has its own charm that makes a mockery of raw performance. economical, reliable and flexible, it'll be with you every day without a hitch. In most cases, its power is sufficient, even if it can be criticized for lacking real character. Except in the case of vibrations, which are slightly noticeable when you push the revs. Off the freeway, the machine lends itself readily to playful driving. With its featherweight, which makes it a tool in the city, anything goes, and it's an excuse to swing it from one angle to another. But don't push it to its limits - The very supple suspension is a real pleasure when traveling, but not really ideal for rigorous roadholding. You can't take full advantage of the very good braking because of the fork's excessive flexibility. Stability can become unpredictable, but not really dangerous. Note: it's possible to play well without necessarily treating it as a GSX-R.
With the 500 GSF, beginners (and why only beginners...?) can enjoy the lightness of a roadster, the ease of a basic bike and the skills of a tourer. At this price level, it's truly incredible, and rare enough to be worth mentioning.

I couldn't find a good, inexpensive motorcycle, and second-hand bikes are hot - we don't know what he did with the guy?
And then an ad appeared: a suzuki GS500F was being destocked, as Jean-Bern was saying. I obviously jumped at the chance and since today...2500Kms the ideal bike to start with. I'm having the time of my life. Bonne route à tous... Rating : 5/5 Respond to Tinmar
I ordered it as fast as I could! Rating : 5/5 Respond to jean-bern
So don't forget to make your driving smooth: you'll overtake in a curve and be overtaken in a straight line ;-) (but straight lines are for those with square tires :D )
Have a good trip!
(P.S.: and all for 4500 Euros if you negotiate well and 5L/100kms) Rating : 5/5 Respond to TroyLee
On the other hand, it's a shame that it doesn't automatically switch to reserve like the CBF 500
But for the price, don't ask too much! Rating : 5/5 Respond to tycac
I regret that the lights come on as soon as the ignition is switched on, so watch out for the battery!
Nevertheless, it looks good for a reasonable price... I'm going to have a 1-year driving licence in May, so I think I'll keep it for a while to practice... Rating : 5/5 Respond to Christai51
