Motorcycle specifications SuzukiVZ-R INTRUDER M 1800 R 2015 Cruising high-speed

in the big battle of custom-dragsters, Suzuki had been rather discreet. The manufacturer had once lined up a 1600 Marauder, more to have its own big custom than to face up to the armada of competitors.
since then, Suzuki has stood up to the challenge, and remains one of the last to offer its "big-twin-custom-which-racks-the-road". When it came out, the M 1800 R (no kidding) was up against the Kawasaki VN 2000, Yamaha 1700 Road Star Warrior and Honda 1800 VTX. Now it's up against the Harley 1250 Muscle or the Triumph Rocket III Roadster, with a few special features that catch our eye. During the era of Japanese power-cruisers, the 1,783 cm3 twin wasn't the biggest of the bunch, but it was the most powerful. No less than 120 horsepower jostled for position at the exit of the vilo! This took the power-cruiser concept to a new level. This twin-cylinder, 4-valve-per-cylinder, twin-throttle-injected GSX-R 1,000 does not follow the same logic of power development as its rivals. With a huge 112 mm bore - the largest on a production bike until the arrival of the 1299 Panigale and its 116 mm - and a reduced stroke of 90.5 mm, the engine-makers clearly favoured power over torque. It's the last of the bunch to brandish the Japanese cavalry in this niche; the others have given up, and the Suzuki is counting on its handsome remains and menacing plasticity to take on the British and American.
the M 1800 R adopts a rather futuristic line, far removed from the immobility of this category and its timeless aesthetic canons. The Suzuki power-cruiser is truly the most stylistically advanced custom (especially thanks to its fork head), although its chassis, chassis values and huge 240 mm tire are within the current norm for machines of this type. The front axle, however, is no exception, with its inverted fork and radial brake calipers (Suzuki inaugurated this type of mounting on a custom bike).
The dashboard is a complete change of scene. Divided into 2 parts, it features a VTR SP-1-style digital rev counter in front of the handlebars; and an analog speedometer, mounted on the fuel tank, graduated up to... 240 km/h !!!

Isn't the position too restrictive with the back bent? My arms are really far out and my feet seem to be the same (after all, I'm 1m90 so this shouldn't be a problem)
But what I really wanted to know is whether the wind resistance is really tiring if I'm going to drive from the North to the South of France to reach a concentrate? Does buying a bubble (for those who have one) solve this problem or not at all?
Are there any mechanical problems I should be aware of?

The bike has 30000kms and the clutch has just been changed by the seller

i bought it in 2006, after customizing and painting it as a chameleon I still have it..superb beast and very maneuverable despite its weight. I'm a small woman of 1.62m for 62kgs and it poses no problem..too bad they didn't think to put a reverse gear..bonne route à tous Rating : 5/5 Respond to nika
Possible without modification and what problems I may encounter!
Thanks to all and have a good trip !!! Rating : 4/5 Respond to Minimi 1959
The maintenance bills are reasonable (not like Harley,
often unjustified) Rating : 4/5 Respond to Subito

I'm the proud owner of a vzr 1800 intruder here's my question I've installed led indicators and I'd like to change my flasher unit so that they flash less quickly could someone tell me where to find the flasher unit in advance thank you Rating : 5/5 Respond to didier
For your led flashers. You don't have to worry about them flashing normally.
When you bought them, there was supposed to be 1 coil for each flashing light.
So a total of 4. You connect them to the lines running from the beam to your blinker.
A good solder with a quick tin terminal, heated with a lighter and covered with shrink tubing. And that's it.
I'm starting to get the hang of it, I'm already on my 2nd. If there's a problem -> don't hesitate... Bye Rating : 5/5 Participate in the conversation
i switched to a custom car after having a roadster and a sporty ..zzr,
i only have a few points left and frankly, I don't regret it, because the aesthetics, the driving and the way people look at you make you happy... after you've driven it.

i'm interested in buying a 1800 vzr. I wanted to ask you if you often ride in a duo, I wanted to know if the passenger is well behind.
Sincerely Rodolphe. Rating : 4/5 Participate in the conversation
Yes there are, go and see your Suzuki dealer, or equipment manufacturers like Maxxess, Dafy, Access ...
Good luck and happy riding Rating : 3/5 Participate in the conversation
But it's the first bike that thrills me in every sense of the word.
I've recently had the opportunity to ride a 1300 yabusha, so let's be honest, it runs well, but it doesn't make you vibrate, and you're more stressed.
driving a vzr is more virile and reassuring, and you really don't feel like you can ride for hours on end.

It's much more beautiful in real life than on the photos, huge but its lines are still very fluid
I chose the Bordeaux color. Despite its weight and wheelbase, maneuvering at a standstill is a breeze. The rest - the ride, the torque, the sound of the exhausts - is nothing but pleasure!

It brakes, it accelerates, it's got a hell of a character, but it knows how to be smooth. Easy to corner, and despite its weight, light light, not a bike but almost. I love her, and her twin bewitches me with decibels so pure..
made for me... Rating : 5/5 Respond to gulvai
