presentation of the YZF-R6 600 2005

it's hard to make progress with a machine that has already set new standards and reached new heights for several years running. However, it was necessary to react to the formidable GSX-R 600 and to counter the worrying arrival of the 2005 ZX-6RR. Yamaha, in turn, presents the 2005 evolution of its 600cc fighter. After the 600 Ninja and CBR 600 RR, it's now the turn of the R6 to reveal its face to the general public. And here's the surprise: the changes are... minimal. Apart from color and decoration, it's almost impossible to tell the 2005 YZF from the 2003 version.
It's on the mechanical side and on the chassis that the engineers have worked. The most striking feature of this evolution is the new front suspension. Like all modern sports bikes, it features an inverted fork and radial brake calipers. The discs are larger, from 298 to 310 mm. Controlled by a radial master cylinder (also radial), there's no doubt that braking will be as impressive as ever on this fabulous machine. We also note a new rear suspension linkage and a new front tire profile.
On every generation of R6, there was horsepower. And like chocolate, you always want more. The new R6 is no exception to the rule, spitting out an extra 3 hp (126 at the same 13,000 rpm). More than just a quest for maximum power, the engine-makers have inflated the power curve to offer more watts across the rev range, and not just at the top of the rev counter. To achieve this, the Yam gains new injection mapping, redesigned intake ducts and new camshafts.

for Valentino ROSSI fans, his time with Yamaha has already left its mark. The new R6 will be available in a typical VALE color (2,500 units for Europe), which will be nothing other than a Replica.

Unfortunately I'm not 18 and if I could have this bike it would be a dream I'd take better care of it than my own child. It's a jewel like all Yamaha sports bikes and most other Yamaha bikes.

i say "Long live Rossi and Yamaha"

Hi everyone!
Well, I've fallen for the beauty (or the beast) too!
I reserved it and I'm going to pick it up on Thursday morning, I can't wait to have it in my hands. Although I've already tried a 2005 r6, with the pot it's going to sound great!
Best regards,

Stop it, gentlemen! The pot on the side was in 1900.the R1 MAGNIFICENT, when the R6! I'm changing my hornet. Rating : 5/5
French Model 2005
i find that the pot is a lot on a motorcycle and under the seat it is not terrible and especially that to change the line of pot it will pose some problem and especially that the side pot reveals all its sporty character! Rating : 5/5
French Model 2005
The R1 and R6 have their own character, they look the same without being identical. I love it! PS: The R1's double central exhaust is magnificent, and the same thing with a different design would be nice on the R6. But then, opinions are very divided on this subject. Rating : 5/5

stop with the pots under the saddle, frankly, on the r it's still okay but the others are absolutely horrible. the r6 is fine like that Rating : 5/5
French Model 2005
Yep, well, being the owner of a 2003 R6... I'm happy to see that they haven't changed the look, apart from the radial brakes and inverted fork and some small engine improvements. But I have to say... it's going to rip despite that... I think Yamaha didn't bother with a new design, because I think they wanted to differentiate the R1 from the R6, and not do what the Honda, CBR RR1000 and 600 look like... too bad. And the new kawa cat with the pots under the seat... yuck... But let's wait until 2007, when we'll certainly be treated to a completely new R6 ;o) Patience, but it has to be said that on the racetrack, the 2003 is still the best performer... so with this 2005 model... it'll be even better, so never mind :o) Rating : 5/5
French Model 2005
i discover the new r6 on your site and I exclaim of the disgn ,its not too trodden in the departement disegn ,and what a pity ,pot under the saddle would have been well come qd mm !!!! and at the level cycle part and engine there are light progressrer ...bhein it was qd mm time to put a fork inverser !!!!chui degouter j'attendai une replica r1 04 pour economiser et bhein non ...
