presentation of the Tuono 660 Factory 2026
The Factory versions of Aprilia’s sport bikes have always been the flagship of the company’s lineup, designed for the most demanding and experienced riders who appreciate the quality of their exceptionally refined components. The public loved the previous Tuono 660 Factory so much that Aprilia decided to make the new version the sole model in the lineup, confident that it has created a truly exquisite machine with unbeatable dynamic qualities.
The new Tuono 660 Factory is a true thrill-generator accessible to everyone, perfectly in line with the Aprilia 660 project for motorcycles with an exceptional power-to-weight ratio—lightweight and high-performance—built around its new-generation, highly modern and technologically advanced inline twin-cylinder engine.
To make it even more incisive and fun on the road, the new Aprilia Tuono 660 Factory has taken a new step forward in equipment by incorporating advanced Öhlins suspension: the fork is from the NIX 30 series with 43 mm stanchions, while the STX 46 shock absorber features an integrated reservoir. Both units can be precisely adjusted for rebound and compression damping, as well as spring preload.
A further improvement in the power-to-weight ratio—one of the main objectives of all Aprilia 660 motorcycles and already at the top of its class in the previous version: the dry weight of 181 kg is now paired with the new maximum power output of 105 hp delivered by the 660 cc transverse inline twin-cylinder engine with double overhead camshafts and four valves per cylinder, achieved in part through the use of new, larger 52 mm throttle bodies instead of the previous 48 mm ones. There is also a limited 35 kW version: a compact, lightweight, next-generation powertrain, the result of experience gained with the extremely powerful engine installed on the RSV4, with which it shares the same design philosophy and basic concepts. The engine also serves a load-bearing function, with its rear section housing the aluminum fork. The combustion chambers are asymmetrical, offset by 270° to produce irregular spark timing and thus deliver performance and sound characteristics similar to those of a V-twin engine. This layout helps create a compact, lightweight, yet rigid structure thanks to a frame with two side beams bolted in the steering head area and at the rear, echoing Aprilia’s tradition of producing high-quality chassis. For the first time on the Tuono 660, the frame/swingarm assembly is painted in glossy black.
The Tuono 660 Factory comes standard with the full suite of APRC electronic controls, including Ride-by-Wire electronic throttle and a 6-axis inertial platform. The latter, thanks to the accelerometers and gyroscopes it contains, is able to recognize the bike’s position relative to the road; it records and processes inputs obtained while riding and sends the data to the control unit, which intervenes to optimize control parameters.
The Tuono 660 Factory APRC now features launch control (ALC)—the system that manages standing starts and is typically used on competition motorcycles. The APRC includes ATC (Aprilia Traction Control)—an adjustable traction control system characterized by highly efficient, finely tuned intervention logic; AWC (Aprilia Wheelie Control)—the adjustable wheelie control system; ACC (Aprilia Cruise Control) to maintain the set speed without using the throttle; AQS (Aprilia Quick Shift)—an electronic gearbox for very fast gear changes without releasing the throttle or using the clutch (and also featuring a downshift function to downshift without touching the clutch); AEB (Aprilia Engine Brake) – the adjustable engine brake control system during throttle release; and AEM (Aprilia Engine Map), which provides different maps to modify the character and power delivery of the engine. As before, the Tuono 660 Factory is equipped with multi-map Cornering ABS, a system (extremely compact and lightweight) that optimizes braking and ABS intervention in corners thanks to a specific algorithm that continuously monitors various parameters such as lateral acceleration, pressure on the front brake lever, and steering, roll, and yaw angles, modulating brake action to best combine deceleration and stability.

The Aprilia Tuono 660 Factory has also upgraded its on-board electronics: the most luxurious features now include new electric controls on the backlit handlebar and a larger (5-inch) dashboard in a new color with an anti-glare coating (which increases brightness and reduces glare), capable of displaying more information. The design of the new Tuono 660 Factory continues to stand out for its low-set footpegs, which emphasize its sporty character, and for the innovative choice of a dual fairing that acts as an aerodynamic appendage: the air pressure channeled between the two panels helps increase stability at high speeds while simultaneously improving rider comfort and protecting the rider from direct airflow, even deflecting hot air drawn from the engine. The new Tuono 660 Factory stands out for its superstructures featuring the new front-end design and the absence of a push rod under the engine (which avoids added weight), not to mention its more aerodynamic styling. Accessories also include a single-seat saddle that can replace the passenger seat—lighter than the previous one and featuring a redesigned shape that increases space for the rider, allowing them to sit further back for better wind protection when leaning over the tank.
