presentation of the F 900 R Frozen Pure Grey 2026
BMW regularly brings a few little surprises to the Lyon Motorcycle Show. In 2025, it was the R12 Julie Wood Special Edition. This year, France gets exclusive access to special color schemes on certain models. Among them is the F 900 R, sporting a new shade of gray called“Frozen Pure Grey.”
The F 900 R is usually seen in either dynamic colors or the ultra-classic “Triple Black.” This Frozen Grey adds a touch of understated sportiness. It comes from BMW Individual, the company’s high-end automotive customization division, which tends to focus on the brand’s sport models.
Be careful not to be misled by the images. All the accessories shown (seat cover, footrest, windshield) are optional. This Frozen Pure Grey edition doesn’t include them; it only offers the color. Because yes, this gray is priced the same as the base Snapper Rocks Blue color. Except that......
Sneaking into the discounts
There’s a catch. Pay attention, this is important. The BMW F 900 R Frozen Pure Grey normally costs 11,100 euros, but BMW is offering a 1,600-euro discount for orders placed by the end of March. So, this discount brings the price down to 9,500 euros, which is the base price of the F 900 R.
But the base F 900 R is eligible for the same discount and can be had for €7,900. In short, one price can hide another.
In any of its color schemes, the F 900 R holds the fort for BMW’s mid-size roadsters, with its 105-horsepower twin-cylinder engine, lightweight wheels, a healthy dose of electronics (cornering ABS, traction control, engine braking control, three riding modes), and its overall efficiency. The engine lacks charm but does its job very well. Just like its chassis.
