Motorcycle specifications CFMOTO675 NK 2025 A fun roadster at 6,499 euros

presentation of the 675 NK 2025
CF Moto isn't just interested in trail bikes. One of China's most prominent manufacturers also likes to develop a complete range. Based on its 3-cylinder platform, CF Moto offers us a "half" sports bike(675 SR-R), but also, and above all, a roadster that's right up there with the market.
A bike that looks good, sounds good and has a lively, sufficiently powerful engine, all for a bargain-basement price.
Call the NK
The NK family at CF Moto is beginning to be complete. And why NK? Quite simply because it's NaKed! This 675 comes between the 450 and the 800 of the same name (I invite you to read our review of the 800, which uses a KTM base). Although all 3 siblings are identifiable at first glance, the Chinese manufacturer has taken care to develop a unique look for each of them. We appreciate the beauty of the gesture, rather than trying to poorly assemble common parts... CF is always strong on design, and has clearly understood that recognition and legitimacy go hand in hand.
So the 675 NK is a motorcycle with modern lines that even incorporates a bit of aero, with the top of the side scoops suggesting ailerons, but without being crude. A nice touch. Look at all the photos, and wherever your eye lands, there's a detail. That's what I like about CF, even the smallest part is well thought out. The front fender is remarkably complex, but at the same time, that's what makes it so modern. The originality of the look also lies in the front brake scoops. It's enough to make you smile, wondering whether it's really necessary to fill with fresh air a brake that you're unlikely to push to red. But it's free, and fits in with the bike's manga-like spirit, which should also remind us of CF Moto's involvement in Moto3 & Moto2 Grand Prix alongside the ASPAR team.
And don't be fooled into thinking that CF Moto is all about looks. The equipment is just as impressive for the price: 5-inch TFT color screen, adjustable levers, full LED lighting, two USB ports, tire pressure and temperature sensor! The cup is full... at least in the costume department.
Classic yet lightweight chassis, 189 kg with full tanks
To keep up with its price tag, this CF Moto has to do without an aluminum chassis (frame). Its perimeter frame is made of steel, but the whole thing has been worked so as not to be an anvil. The rear buckle is bolted to the frame. The swingarm is aluminum, with a "boomerang" or "banana" shape. The rear shock absorber is mounted directly on the swingarm, without connecting rods. Progressive damping should deteriorate when the road isn't a perfect billiard table, so watch out for lively reactions.
While we're on the subject of suspension, we have a KYB shock absorber with adjustable preload and rebound for 130 mm of travel. The 41 mm fork, again taken from the KYB catalog, is fully adjustable with the same 130 mm travel.
The 17-inch aluminum wheels are shod with CST dual-compound tires (120 fwd / 180 rwd). We know that this equipment manufacturer is making rapid progress on tire performance. Before saying that these Chinese tires should be discarded, it would be a good idea to wear them out a little ... Front braking is entrusted to J.Juan (the low-cost Brembo) with 300 mm discs at the front and a 240 mm disc at the rear. Front radial-mount calipers feature 4 pistons. The rear caliper is single-piston.
This braking system is equipped with "basic" ABS, meaning that it fulfills its mission without an inertial unit, so it's a bit on/off, or the ABS will often be triggered a little too early. But let's not forget that for the price, it's already very good. Finally, we note that the bike is really compact, short with a wheelbase of just 1400 mm, which should make it lively, especially if we remember that it weighs nothing: 189 kg with full tanks.
Engine: a 3-legged engine like the Street Triple or MT-09
There's no denying it, but a three-cylinder does something to you. In the course of my career, I've been able to try out some of the most famous, whether British or Italian (with the late Benelli TNT), and I can't wait to see what this Chinese triple has up its sleeve. On paper, its dimensions (72 x 55.2 mm) are very similar to Triumph's old 675. It develops 89.7 hp (66 kW) at 11,000 rpm. Maximum torque of 68 Nm is reached at 8,250 rpm. It is already Euro5+ compliant. Mechanical aids include a 6-speed gearbox with upshift shifter, and an anti-drift clutch.
Given its displacement, on paper this engine has the potential to shake up the established order, with the Yamaha MT-07 in its sights. Less powerful and more expensive at this level of the range, the Japanese is beaten.
The level of electronic assistance is limited, as the bike is equipped with a simple cable throttle. As a result, there's no engine mode, but there is traction control, which offers 2 levels of intervention and can be disconnected. Simple, basic, like a return to the roots of riding, with just the right amount of safety (TC & ABS).
Future best-seller?
Despite its looks and higher power than its rivals, this 675 NK has no intention of going head-to-head with the big boys. Its targets are the Kawasaki Z650 and Yamaha MT-07. Expect to pay a minimum of 7,499 euros for the Kawa and 8,499 euros for the Yamaha for 68 and 73 hp. The 675 NK boasts 89 hp for 6,499 euros. A very tight price tag, but the competition can count on a more extensive warranty (5 years on Yam, 4 on Kawa; 2 years on CF Moto) and more frequent servicing. China requires a medical check-up every 6,000 km, while most Japanese and European brands have gone to 10,000 km or more.
... If the die has not yet been cast, there's plenty to tempt you!
