Motorcycle specifications Indian1720 CHIEF CLASSIC 2010 Being part of the clan

presentation of the 1720 CHIEF CLASSIC 2010
when you buy an Indian, you're buying into a chapter of motorcycle history, pegged to a legend born somewhere between civilization and Harley-Davidson. Once the world's leading manufacturer, later lost in the turmoil of modernity, now enjoying a renaissance, the American brand is delighted to be back on the road with its Chief models. One of the more affordable models, the Classic would be almost soft if we ignored its opulence.
the Chief Classic is huge. It's a custom that stretches the length of the road. Long, heavy and muscular, it seems to push the asphalt with its presence. There's no denying that we're dealing with a heavyweight. But most spectacular of all is the Powerplus engine block. A twin that's both superb and impressive, and we never tire of looking at it in detail. The eye jumps from fin to fin, following the rocker rods. With its oval shapes, its chrome, its majesty, this little mechanical cathedral makes any liquid twin seem insipid, regardless of its pedigree. You forget about its ridiculous output (approx. 40 hp/liter), because power is of little interest here anyway. All that matters is muscle relaxation.
this 1720 Classic gets straight to the point: low-riding with no tricks or baggage. Announced at the 30,000 euro mark, the Indian Chief Classic would seem to be at the top of the range with such a price tag... But the opposite is true. And yet, despite its legendary name, flattering looks and almost fascinating engine, this bike is frankly expensive for what it is. Although the finish is good, more needs to be done in this area, and the hand-made label doesn't allow you to choke your wallet to such an extent.
