presentation of the Superduke 1390 RR 2026
Every generation of the Superduke gets its own RR version. For some, sheer power just isn’t enough. They want something wild, more precision, pushed limits, and vibrations that scratch the puck when you wake up. The most muscular of the current Dukes won’t be enough for those who like to rip out anchor bolts with their teeth. So, KTM has prepared the Superduke 1390 RR for them . A monster with fangs sharpened like a Makita drill.
The Superduke is a half-crazy roadster, with its massive 1,350cc twin. That’s enough to deliver 190 horsepower and nearly 15 lb-ft of torque. Mind-blowing and overpowered! It hasn’t been tweaked for this RR version, but the addition of an Akrapovic exhaust will give it a little extra oomph (estimated at 2.6 hp) and, more importantly, shed quite a few pounds.
The power of a hypersport, the weight of a 500
This is an area where the RR really shines: 11 kg lighter than the R. The titanium Akrapovic muffler, additional carbon fiber parts including the seat mount, much lighter forged wheels, and the removal of the passenger equipment result in a massive weight reduction. With this weight shed and, above all, the lighter wheels (-1.5 kg), the Superduke RR will be much more agile and responsive. All while staying glued to the road: Katoche fits it with Michelin Power GP tires, practically slicks for the road.
Mattighofen hasn’t gone overboard with styling on this beast. The standard version is already menacing enough as it is. The RR stands out with a rather classy deep blue, white, and orange livery—almost distinguished before it’s aggressive. Because for this bike, the focus has been on technical optimization rather than showmanship.

We just saw that with the tires; let’s move on to the brakes. The Brembo Stylema brake calipers have been replaced by sportier Hypure calipers (not Hypure Sport—that model doesn’t exist) and cooled by racing air ducts. The WP suspension no longer uses Apex technology; instead, the PRO Components components draw on MotoGP experience to increase precision. The Pro 7548 inverted fork and the 8750 shock absorber are fully adjustable.
The Superduke 1390 RR is also gearing up for battle with a brake lever guard, a two-height adjustable seat, a lower handlebar, a seat better suited for the track, an easily adjustable and reversible gear selector, and perforated levers…
And what about those slightly odd-looking winglets? No, they’re already featured on the SD 1390 R.
Full-on electronics, except for the bear tamers
As an exclusive model, the Beast RR comes standard with all the electronics (for once, no optional rider aids). All the Tech Pack, Race Pack, and Zouglou Pack features are integrated into the onboard system, with 8 riding modes (Street, Sport, Rain, Track, 3 customizable modes, and Beast), traction control, Launch Control, throttle response adjustment, wheelie control, Up&Down shifter, engine slip control, engine brake adjustment; and plenty of features that can be disabled for highly experienced riders.

Just like in video games, there’s a bonus level where much more is allowed. Except with the Superduke 1390 RR, you don’t need a cheat code. The “Beast” mode takes the crown among the riding modes. With it, electronic aids are reduced to the bare minimum, while only speed appears on the screen—an invitation to go all out with the thinnest possible safety net.
Oh, and the screen has changed too. It’s the new 8.8-inch (large) smartphone-style display, already seen on the RC R 990. In addition to a redesigned interface, it offers offline map navigation, a telemetry system, and functions for lap times, cornering angles, and G-forces.
Neither the road nor the track will be spared
The first blow to the road came in 2006 with the 990 RR. Twenty years later, the 1390 Superduke RR shatters performance records with a monstrous twin-cylinder engine and a razor-sharp chassis. KTM cultivates the art of the hyper-fighter with a blend of iconoclastic ferocity.
Very expensive, bordering on exclusive, this Austrian powerhouse will be produced in a limited run of 350 units.
