At MV-Agusta, the 'Reparto Corse' (Racing Department) has so far been best known for its work in the SuperSport-Superbike World Championship and for the coats of arms behind the RC special series. Their superb decors, racing-derived verve and suave silhouettes make them true divas in the ode to top-level sport.

For the F3 XX, Reparto Corse was truly able to express itself. This time, it's not a question of sprucing up a machine, but rather of optimizing a pistarde with in-house know-how. The F3 800 thus becomes a scalpel in Varese sauce.

Those hoping for an even more warlike look than the F3 675 and 800 RC will be disappointed. The XX settles for dark colors, perfect for highlighting its carbon fairing. This material is also used for the rear shell, to protect the frame's aluminum housings and plates, and for the SC Project silencer - the same one used in World SuperSport. Pampered by a draconian diet, the machine managed to reduce its weight by 28 kilos to 145 kilos dry. A staggering figure, almost identical to that of a small Yamaha YZF-R 125 with full tanks.
With such a light weight, it's easy to feel like you're riding a 2-stroke 2.5 from the old days. Except that power has nothing to do with it. Doped with RC hormones, the F3 XX spits out 160 hp at 13,000 rpm.

Enough to have fun on the track, and only there. This MV-Agusta is not approved for road use. As a result, the engineers have fitted it with the panoply of a thoroughbred track bike. Suspension has been upgraded with Öhlins cartridges in the tubes of the 43 mm Marzocchi inverted fork. If you're going to buy from the Swedish manufacturer, you might as well get a TTX36 shock absorber and a steering damper. Brake tracks are replaced by Brembo T-Drive.
The electronics are also worthy of a competition bike. The F3 XX features a MecTRonik ECU with inertial unit, and customizable traction control, anti-wheeling and start assist. The shifter is also adjustable. The dashboard features a TFT color screen with a wealth of information. The sensors fitted to this F3 provide state-of-the-art telemetry. There are sensors to measure suspension work, braking pressure, oil temperature and pressure... not to mention data logging, instrumentation of the commodos and the possibilities of the on-board GPS.

The MV-Agusta F3 XX will only be produced in limited numbers, at a crazy price - 4 times that of the standard model. This cutting-edge sports bike joins the family of thoroughbred motorcycles whose existence is dedicated to a single goal: performance on the racetrack. The R1 GYTR, GSX-R 1000 R Ryuyo, RSV4 X and HP4 Race are just some of these bikes. A clan that's only waiting to grow.
