presentation of the Bobber 1200 TFC 2020
The evening begins strongly. The hot coffee sits on the suspended saddle. A dark contrast between the light smoke escaping from the cup and the delicate, rhythmic cough of the Arrow exhausts. A moment of incandescence on the lips, belching at the dawn of carbon tips. This Bobber is impatiently waiting to show itself. The TFC edition isn't meant to sit in the garage; it wants to show off, to express itself, to shine its blackness in front of beautiful hotels, Porsche 356s and Bolivian coffee smugglers.
the original Triumph 1200 Bobber is a surprising achievement for a mass-produced manufacturer. Almost at the level of a preparation, this illegitimate child of the Bonneville has no equal for triggering a kind of fascination. Enough to earn it a place in the TFC clan, a department where motorcycles with character are ennobled.
night spits its jinx on the deserted streets. It's out of the question for this Triumph to just stand there. Its eye massacres the shadows, the pupil catches the gaze. The twin pulls out all the stops to take the emotion out of the town. The Triumph Factory Custom bikes don't come out of this without a vitamin treatment, their verve having to prove more robust than the original. A serious engine overhaul, an increased compression ratio (from 10 to 11:1) combined with the installation of lighter parts (clutch, crankshaft, balance shafts, alternator, magnesium cylinder head cover, etc.) enable the 1200 cc to produce 10 more horsepower. Maximum power is 87 hp at 6,250 rpm and 11.2 mkg at 4,000 rpm. The 39% reduction in the inertia of moving parts enables the engine to rev more quickly, taking full advantage of the 500 rpm increase - the red zone is retrenched at 7,500 rpm.

There's no counting the beautiful pieces. You admire them, you fall in love with them. The flat handlebars of the standard model are replaced by knurled handlebars, giving the bike a sportier look and riding position. The seat is as surprising as ever, a special leather model with the Triumph logo inlaid in the skin, supported by an invisible aluminum bracket.
silver leaf embraces the Union Jack on the sides of the tank. England is proud, and its machine doesn't care about borders. With some fine equipment manufacturers elsewhere, an invitation would be in order. As a result, TFC has greatly improved its front end with some choice hardware. Nothing less than an inverted Öhlins fork, 43 mm in diameter, with a desirable black and gold finish. At the end, two 320 mm discs await the pressure of the renowned Brembo M50 calipers. These radially-mounted monobloc piston calipers are usually found on top-quality hypersports models and very sporty roadsters. The Brembo MCS master cylinder is of the same ilk. The shock absorber is also by Öhlins. The damping elements can be adjusted in all directions.
Triumph has taken the opportunity to reduce the Bobber's weight by up to 5 kilos, taking into account lightened parts and the possible elimination of rear lights.

to make the purchase of this Bobber an experience in itself, delivery is as meticulous as presentation. A kit will be supplied with the bike, including a numbered certificate signed by Triumph's CEO (Nick Bloor), a leather backpack, a special cover, a briefcase and a book on the history and development of the TFC Bobber. In addition to its rarity, the machine maintains its exclusivity with a seriously seasoned price tag. Not at all reasonable, and almost irrelevant. But that's not how you think of motorcycles when you enter the world of TFC. By the way, the coffee's cold, the engine's hot, the moon's shining on the engine fins - it's time to join the day, the glitter and the detours.
