presentation of the XVS 1300 A Tour Classic 2009

Sleek, elegant, rewarding, dynamic, chubby without being overweight, the 1300 Midnight Star could be a good-sized cruiser if it had protection worthy of the name. Without having the fatness and opulence of the 1900, its 1304 cm3 v-twin offers just the right measure of power. It would almost tickle the fancy of bigger rivals without asking the price. With the "Tour Classic" kit, the custom bike becomes a V Star Tourer (its American version).

like its little 950 brother, the 1300 Midnight Star is equipped with all the essentials to open up wide roads and horizons. Long roads and windy conditions call for a large windshield. A long-distance passenger will appreciate the Sissy-bar to prop up the back. As for your personal belongings, they'll take their place in the two hard-sided leather saddlebags. With this equipment, the bike weighs in at around twenty kilos. But that won't make much difference, given the original 3 quintals.

Seconde à bas régime
French Loucat Model 2011
1st gear too short and 2nd gear can't hold low revs, so you have to downshift to 1st gear as soon as the speed is too low. And the synchro isn't great. Painful in town or on very winding roads Rating : 4/5

After several years of riding several styles and models, I am very disappointed because I just did 680 km this weekend on an xvs and I had to abandon the group because impossible to follow on small roads, the engine lacks a lot of energy and recovery with the weight and the 70 horses more we scrape the big wedges in the slightest turns.
Efficient bike just for fetching bread

A good comfortable machine, long trip without tiredness, powerful enough, it is a pure custom, I had a lot of trail before it changes, flattering look, it rubs a little in the mountains but at 64 years I ride cool, the ideal bike does not exist, good machine less expensive than a harley distilling good sensations friendly Rating : 4/5
French Jeff Model 2015
Nickel good bike true vintage. Quite comfortable, good performance for the style, easy to equip, and much cheaper than some for which you pay mostly the brand and just as reliable
Mine is from 01/2015 and I'm 58. I recommend it

French skullcrusher Model 2013
Hello,
I received my Midnite Star 1300 yesterday, and I can confirm that it's a very good bike: good engine, good finish, good braking (coupled with the rear pedal), and a certain value-added appearance. I don't understand why we're so hung up on a certain American brand, when this generation of Midnite Star, as well as the new VNs, are highly recommendable, and extremely reliable. For those who want a good custom, I recommend this XVS 1300, whether it's Touring or not.
