presentation of the Monster Collezione 100 2026
It is undoubtedly one of the most beautiful Monster models Ducati has ever created. In 2008, the Monster S4Rs Tricolore was enough to set hearts racing with its massive 998cc twin engine derived from the 999 Superbike, its magnificent tubular single-sided swingarm, its all-Öhlins suspension, its trellis frame painted the same gold as its Marchesini wheels, and its Italian-themed livery. A fantasy that gets the blood pumping.
The spitting image?
Ducati chose this model to distill its essence and carry it over to the Monster in the“100”collection. Each family is entitled to a representative to ensure a place, a spirit, and an emotion in the brand’s 100th-anniversary celebrations.
18 years later, the little rascal has fallen for the green-white-red flag for its fuel tank and seat cowl, just like its mentor. The rims are gold, as before, but not the frame… because there is no frame.
Imitation is one thing; the equipment is another. The Monster 100 comes with a pair of prints by Ugo Nespolo, artistic interpretations of the two models featured here. It’s a way of blending mechanical and pictorial works.
Next, we find a fuel cap and a machined aluminum triple clamp, an Alcantara seat with an embroidered “100” logo, a dry clutch with its openwork carbon cover, a Collezione 100 cover, a matching rear stand, the centennial logo on the fuel tank, a certificate of authenticity, and a bronze finish for the brake calipers as well as the plate riveted to the triple clamp bearing the serial number.
All delivered in a wooden crate that Ducati has taken care to make striking enough that everyone will want to keep it as a treasured display case in its own right. Produced in a limited series, only 100 units of this Monster will be available.
With it comes a certain sense of glamour and always an opportunity to play on the road with its efficient, lightweight chassis, its 11-horsepower twin with variable valve timing, its modest weight of 175 kg, and a dose of electronics that isn’t too intrusive (traction control, wheelie control, and engine braking, cornering ABS, shifter, 4 riding modes, 5-inch color TFT screen).

A family crest
While the “Tricolore” designation has been applied to many Ducatis (the 750 F1, the 851, the 1098, the 1199 and 1299 Panigale, and several Panigale V4s), only four Monsters have been given the tricolor livery: the S4Rs, the 25th and 30th Anniversario, and this Collezione 100.
Like all the centennial commemorative motorcycles, it costs nearly twice as much as the standard model. And despite this price hike, you don’t even get a sport exhaust (Termi’ or Akra’) or Öhlins suspension; nor do you get the matching accessories*. The Monster of yesteryear that inspired today’s model had far more character.
