presentation of the Hypermotard V2 SP Collezione 100 2026
In competition, Ducati has been synonymous with victories in Superbike and MotoGP. The brand’s thirst for top-level performance is inseparable from its identity, and it has also achieved some remarkable feats in endurance racing on a few occasions. Not at Suzuka, not at the Bol d’Or, and not at Le Mans—races that the Bologna-based team has never managed to win.
However, the red machine has claimed victory at the 24 Hours of Montjuïc on several occasions, including the famous win by the Spanish duo Benjamin Grau and Salvador Cañellas in 1975. It is this story thatthe Hypermotard SP 100 tells on its fairing.
The race numbers are more understated than on the NCR team’s prototype ridden by Nepoti and Caracchi, while the gray bodywork and red side skirts have returned to their classic design. It’s a shame Ducati didn’t extend the color scheme all the way to the swingarm, as seen on the Panigale V2 S 100, Scrambler 100, and Panigale V4 S 100.
The most playful model in the Collezione 100, the Hypermotard incorporates all of its design cues and features. The color scheme is just the first step. When you rummage through its pockets after taking it out of its (premium) wooden crate, you’ll find:
- Two paintings by Ugo Nespolo, depicting a pop-art vision of the bike and its inspirational predecessor
- A color-coordinated workshop stand
- A “Centenary Bronze” finish for the brake calipers
- And a plaque engraved with the motorcycle’s name and serial number, riveted to a machined aluminum fork crown
- A dry clutch with its openwork carbon fiber cover
- A machined quick-release fuel cap
- A protective cover featuring the Collezione 100 logo
- An Alcantara seat with the Centenario logo embroidered on it
- “Ducati” graphics designed by Giugiaro on the fuel tank
- A special animation on the instrument panel
- A certificate of authenticity.

This big supermoto is no joke when it comes to emotional appeal—and even less so when it comes to the specific features of this SP version. Öhlins suspension, M50 brakes, forged aluminum wheels, an 890 cm³ twin with 120 chevaux and variable valve timing, tires bordering on slicks, weight kept to 177 kg (without fuel), advanced electronics, a Panigale-style swingarm, and a fierce attitude. The price reflects its exclusivity—and then some—and production is limited to 100 units.
The 860 “24 Horas de Montjuïc” left a lasting impression at the time and earned its place in Ducati’s centennial celebrations. It would later become the road-going 900 Super Sport. As for the owner of the Hypermotard SP 100, he, too, can identify with this legacy thanks to a pair of dedicated accessories: a Nolan helmet and a leather jacket based on the same theme.
