kawasaki concentrated its efforts on its 2 and a half last year. The aim was to find more power and better ground clearance. A benchmark competition machine, the KX 250 is a flagship model in the Kawa cross-country range. This year, engineers took into account feedback from AMA Supercross, the MX2 class and the MXGP paddocks. These experiences have resulted in a machine that will valiantly meet the needs of its broad customer base.

for this 2-and-a-half KX, engine performance has been enhanced by modifications to the intake and exhaust systems. Power is now even more suited to competition.

As for the gearbox, the first gear is longer thanks to feedback from AMA Supercross. The second gear has also been modified to ensure a smoother transition between first and third.

Experience gained in the Japanese motocross championship has enabled us to modify the internal components of the front fork and rear suspension to obtain a firmer bike that contributes to improved off-road performance without sacrificing ease of riding.

Other chassis improvements include the adoption of a wider rear tire for 2023, Dunlop's MX33 110/90-19 versus the previous 100/90-19, while the footpegs are 5 mm wider (front to rear) and positioned 3 mm towards the rear to offer excellent grip and reduced weight. Alas, the machine's overall weight has suffered a setback. This model is almost 3 kilos heavier.

the frame, based on that of the KX 450 (unlike the outgoing model) and the swingarm borrowed from the same 450, improve handling and traction.

engineers will tell you that progressive refinement and upgrades are often the path to racing success, and this is exactly the path Kawasaki is taking with its racing machine. Exploitable power, engine and chassis improvements and a place on the podium - that's what the KX 250 is all about.

launch Control, a mode specific to Kawa motocross bikes, helps riders make the Holeshot by reducing rear-wheel spin at the start.

dual Injectors, each with a distinct role, act at different engine speeds to deliver rapid response and increased power at higher revs.

Good evening I saw that you also have like me a 250 kxf year 2015 that I just acquired and I just had a few small questions about it if possible, at the level of engine oil filling after the oil change is well 0.80L (when the filter is removed)? and is there as in some other motorcycle a strainer and a screen to change? after less than four hours of operation, the engine started to make a lot of noise. after dismantling, it turned out that the vilo had a mounting fault (too tight), so everything had to be changed, and some material had gone back into the cylinder. after a 1500-euro charge, kawa's after-sales service refused to help in any way, despite the advice of two kawa dealers 500 kms apart... -4 for kawa, reputed for its third-rate after-sales service, which confirms its shitty reputation. the bike works very well, but beware of breakage. i ride cross-country and i'm 50... 06/11/2013 17:04 Rating : 4/5 Respond to loop out
