What's changing in 2018

Another strong vintage of passion for Ducati. The Italian manufacturer's sporting history marks a turning point in 2018 with the arrival of a 4-cylinder Superbike: the 1100 Panigale V4. It will be joined by a Panigale V4 S and a top-of-the-range Panigale V4 Speciale series. The 959 Panigale comes in a Corse version. The Multistrada gains in displacement with a 1260 engine derived from the XDivel. On the Scrambler side, an 1100 version enriches the family, with Standard, Special and Sport editions. For the 800 Scrambler, a new Street Classic adds to the range. The 821 Monster receives a number of upgrades.

The rear wheel shaft can lose its structural integrity and break, which can result in loss of control of the motorcycle and increase the risk of a crash.

The screws securing the passenger seat backrest may not be properly tightened, which could cause the backrest to break, posing a risk of accident. The backrest may also break if a passenger leans on it without holding on to the rider or seat strap.

The pin holding the side support in place can wear and break. This can cause the side support to open and activate the sensor that stops the motorcycle engine, increasing the risk of an accident.

Oil may leak onto the rear wheel, creating a risk of accident.

The rear brake hoses of the motorcycles concerned may be susceptible to heat damage, which can lead to sudden loss of rear braking function and increase the risk of an accident.

The side stand bracket may become loose. This could potentially cause a parked motorcycle to fall, causing injury to the rider or to people in close proximity.
