Founded in 1953 in Tokyo, Nissin Kogyo is today a major player in the design and manufacture of braking systems for motorcycles and cars. Initially focusing on the automotive sector with the production of aluminum brake pistons, the company turned its attention to motorized two-wheelers in the 1970s. Master cylinders, introduced in 1971, followed by disc brake calipers three years later, marked the beginning of a recognized expertise in the two-wheeler sector.
Over the decades, Nissin has worked with the world's leading manufacturers, including Honda, Yamaha, Kawasaki, Suzuki and MV Agusta. These strategic partnerships enable Nissin to equip numerous models as original equipment, reinforcing its position as a benchmark in the industry. The brand offers a complete range of products: brake pads, discs, calipers, hoses and master cylinders, meeting the needs of the most demanding motorcyclists.
Nissin Kogyo has also left its mark on the history of motor sports, although now eclipsed by competitors such as Brembo in MotoGP. But this doesn't stop the brand, true to its Japanese roots, from continuing to stand out from the crowd. In 2021, Nissin will join the Hitachi Astemo group, the result of a merger with Keihin and Showa under the aegis of the partnership between Honda and Hitachi.
This global presence, backed by Hitachi Astemo, is a springboard for further innovation and leadership in a constantly evolving sector. To this end, the company is investing heavily in the development of new technologies with proven reliability, even in extreme conditions such as off-road.
